Now I know a lot of us on gaia cannot vote, but what makes you think that this war on gay marriage is over? When we are old enough to vote, prop 8 will be back up for voting. I suggest you learn something about gays now!

For those of you living in america, stop letting your parents choose how you should think about other people. Instead of listening to them saying how WRONG gays are, why don't you go and interact with gays. My dad is christian and I'm atheist, I didn't just accept what others say was true, I went and researched and made my own beliefs based on my own experiences.

Those of you who truely believe god is real and believe god didn't intend for gays...well...who cares what god thinks? God can't interfere with us, he can't do anything to us, yea send us to hell, but why are you so scared of hell? If I believed in hell, I wouldn't be scared...it's just fire and torture, I don't mind. If you still care about staying away from hell, here's another arguement...who are you to say how god thinks, you're playing god and god is a jealous god. You angered him for telling others what he thinks. If you don't believe me, it's in the ten commandments.

Then there is "keeping marriage sacred" arguement. OH, PLEASE! 50% of marriages end in divorce, Religious people divorce all the time, how do you know it's not because you ARE religious.

Then the reproduction arguement. My stepmom never gave birth to children and she never can because she's 43. So my stepmom has to divorce my dad? My grandma can't give birth anymore, does she have to get a divorce? What about young women who have uterus problems or young men with sperm problems? If you knew anything about our life on earth, you would STOP people from having children. Every 25 years, our population doubles. Right now, we are at 7 billion people on earth. You really want 14 billion? We have starving children, 6000 die every minute! How do you know that god didn't make gays to save those starving children...to give them a home.

Why don't you think about it, reply to this, give me an arguement, I'll tear you to pieces. I have a counterarguement for EVERYTHING! evil

well i don't think that the way you spread not hating gays is right you should be kinder and let people explain to you why they don't agree to you may they feel the same way you felt no one listening and you had to change your beliefs completely im christian and im for gay marriage i believe the only one who can rolleyes judge is god why are we judging who gets to love or not i think that America was mad on hopes and dreams we need to keep it that way im 18 and i voted against prop 8 so lets fight this together peacefully not with rage or anger heart idea wink

Uh... what in the hell does that have to do with anything? When did no childbearing = divorce? This isn't the Middle Ages.

I live in Canada where gay marriage is legal and we're communists and stuff so I don't have to worry, really. Though I do want to give Prop 8 a good soul-punching.

LOL. I was 10 during the 2000 elections. I kept up with as my mom did. I remember wishing I could vote back then.
