I'd have to Say the Lost boys or Queen of the damned both are good.

Interview is also very good.

Mine: Queen of the Damned. It had bands. and sadly Jonathan Davis (Korn) had to do all the vocals. ALL THE VOCALS!!!! he didn`t do well but the movie was still good.

yeah, def. one of my favorites, stuart townsend was sexy as hell in that movie and aaliyah was too. i'm glad i watched the movie first cuz i don't think i would have appreciated it as much if i had read the book first. the thing about the movie that pissed me off was that even tho it was great, they cut out the most essential character to the book. maharet had a twin sister in the book and she was pretty much the most important character. for them to just totally rewrite the story in that regard and completely overlook her was really uncool. they should have also gone into way more detail about the origin of vampires. the book tells you in a lot of detail how vampires came to be and it's actually a very interesting take on it. really disappointing that they cut that out of the movie, but i guess you have to cut a lot for running time's sake.

tl:dr- read the book, i don't want to say that it's better.... but.... it's extremely interesting

From Dusk Til Dawn
Interview with a Vampire
30 Days of Night
Fright Night
Dracula [Bela Lugosi, not any of the more 'recent' ones]
Blade

Blade was pretty dope too. I'd say that's my 2nd favorite.

i agree with you as well, Blade might be my 2nd favorite, after Interview and Queen of the Damned (tie)... but honestly i felt like the rest of the Blade series was pretty blah, after the first one. Blade is a cool character but Deacon Frost stole the show, IMHO. After they killed him off in the first one, I was pretty uninterested in the sequels. i love their different vampire clans/houses idea tho. each with their own history and symbol.

To put in my 2 cents worth:
Lost Boys
Salem's Lot
John Carpenter's Vampires

There were others that I liked too, but I watch too many vampire movies so I can't remember the titles, sadly. That just means I have to watch them again. biggrin

Hellsing OVAs hands down. Van Helsing is epic! League of Extraordinary Gentlemen with that epic vampire lady ; )
Exoth XIII
Dracula, starring Bela Lugosi.

I'm just going to make this easier to read, in the hopes that people might actually check it out, since it blows away most of the other movies being suggested in here.

Van Helsing is epic!

The only thing I didn't like about it was that it was called "Van Helsing." Seriously, they could've called it "Castlevania," and changed the gypsy lady's last name to Belmont, and the story would actually make a LOT more sense. Probably would've sold more tickets too.

She had LOTS more personality in the comic. As did Hyde. My god, Hyde got so much badass decay in the movie.
In the comic, Hyde raped the invisible man to death (after finding out that he bitchslapped Mina Murray then made her grovel,) then danced a polka up to one of the tripods from War of the Worlds, and AFTER it hit him with a death ray, tore it to bits and ate the alien inside it while the other tripods gawked in horror (even though they can't show expressions.)

Yeah. The guy who played Professor Van Helsing was good too, as was Renfield.
Seriously, Renfield had the most sinister laugh ever.

I also recommend Christopher Lee's Dracula films, and he's been in a few.

Indeed, Lee was the man. While he was certainly great in the Hammer Dracula films, considering what he had to work with, in my opinion he owns the role in the non-Hammer production directed by Jess Franco.

Well, that one was more true to the book, but Bela has this vibe going on, both when he looks and talks, which really makes him seem like "something not of this world." I would argue that, while Lee's portrayal is closer to Bram Stoker's original Dracula, Bela's is better.
