Yes, but herein lies the real issue: who cares? It's not even real.

Communism is bad for your eyes!
I care because it's giving younger people a vary warped view on relationships. Case in point, my 13 year old cousin. She thinks it's "romantic" that a guy would sneak into her house to watch her sleep. When I asked her what would she do if her boyfriend stopped her from seeing me or her other friends, she told me it meant "that he loved her enough to protect her from possible danger" Now, my cousin is not the smartest bulb by any stretch, but those are the ones we have to look out for: the naïve (sp) little girls and boys reading this crap and not seeing anything wrong with what's happening in the story.
Now I know that I take that personally, but it leads me to wonder how many other girls are now fine with these stalker like tendencies and abuse. It scares me because I remember being taught about abusive relationships in health class, and one of the key signs for controlling boyfriends was not allowing the girl to go see other friends.
First time posting in this thread, and I just wanted to respond in general to those saying "who cares? it's just fiction" When I read Twilight, I was taken back by the relationships portrayed in this story, but didn't meet anyone in my school who didn't worship the books. It was a godsend to see this thread, and i will show anyone who tells me that Edward and Bella have a healthy relationship this thread. thank you everyone *goes back to lurking*
No wait, that's television. I get them confused
