All many good points. How anyone could not see he is an abusive boyfriend is beyond me. Not to mention those shallow enough to think his being hot(Which he is most definetely not) is a good excuse to fall head over heels for the character. If you're going to like a fictional character for what they look like, atleast like their personality while you're at it. On a note about Jacob... Jacob was the only good character Stephenie Meyer had, and that died when she turned into a Bella-obssessed werewolf.

Ruining your best character = Utter fail

Anyone who thinks of Edward as the perfect boyfriend is either high, drunk, or stoned. Oh yea, they're probably also twelve-year-old. It's pretty sad that some girls will never get married because they're out looking for "Their Edward". Edward, being fictional and a vampire, will never be found and I doubt they'd like to be called, "My Edward".

--@ zarptiza--

Bella's love in the book is most obviously staged. I can see no romance or love in their words. If you ask me, with Bella's whole 'give-me-sex' thing throughout the third book, it was more for pleasure. I agree that it could very well be a child's dream of a first, true, everlasting love, as my sister is obssessed with the vampire and she's seventeen and has never been in an intimate relationship. A mother and child relationship depends on the mother and child. My mom doesn't force me to eat anything in particular, so long as I'm not chomping on junk food 24/7, she's fine. Besides that, I basically have no boundaries, unless you count "Don't break the law", "Don't do drugs or drink alcohol", and "Don't get in trouble at school". Then again, I have my mother's logic and the majority of her opinions, so I guess that doesn't really count, especially since you were just using the "Mother and Child" relationships as an example. On the topic of their food... Vampires were originally intended to drink human blood. I highly doubt a vampire could solely live off of animal blood for over ten years. Animal Blood is just not the same as human blood no matter what way you look at it, although it tends to switch from writer to writer. It's apparent that the vampires are certainly not fully trained, if vegetarian is the way to go, or else Edward would not be so drawn to Bella's blood. It's a common arguement, although I doubt wanting to drink someone's blood would make you fall in love with them or want to be around them. On a more important, arguable matter, Foxby is right. Don't get mad at him for that.

Why I wrote this good-length reply with practically simply opinions is beyond me. =_='

I just realized what the poll at the top is doing. ^^ You made one of the possible choices one that a person agreeing with you would pick, and the other three ones that a person not agreeing with you would pick. This breaks up all the votes that are against your opinion, while it keeps all the votes that are for it together, creating the illusion that more people voted for your idea, while in actuality, about 51 percent of people who voted believe you are wrong.

Again, I just figured that out. Very clever. smile
@Lillewyn: Actually, the choices are different (agree, believe points are accurate but disagree, believe points are wrong and disagree, and idiot option). Anyone looking to see who 'wins' popularly will of course be smart enough to add the three. Not to mention this thread wasn't expected to live as long as it has...

@MyMiracle: I don't think anyone got mad at me. o.o Aldorel was mad at "Nicole Cullen."

So basically you're saying that if a guy is physically attractive he can do whatever the hell he wants to you/a girl? Right...You make me very dissapointed in the fact that I'm a teenage girl, Reizsha. Please stop being so shallow.
Oh, and happy Domestic Abuse Awareness Week, everybody. I'll post some things they put in my school if it hasn't been said already...

Wow. I'm for Edward Cullen, but that was really, really shallow.

Foxby is right. I just wanted to create a gradation of opinions from "I agree" to "I am a rabid fan." neutral Frankly, I never actually expected that more than about 10% of people would be hitting the "agree" button. In hindsight, I really could have used two "agree" buttons - one "preaching to the choir"/"agree and always agreed", one "I have seen the light"/"agree but formerly would have disagreed". And when I started this thread, I thought it would be dead within a month. So I really wasn't worrying about strategic construction of poll options.

Indeed. (Or at least, exasperated with "Nicole Cullen" ) Sorry if that wasn't clear. xp
Oh, sweet! I was right twice~ and acknowledged by Aldy! Now I can die happy. :3 It's like I found my Edwa--*shot*

That's not what I was trying to say, though. I meant that if you just glanced at it, you would register that the line for 'I agree' is much longer than the rest, which, if you were undecided, could possibly cause you to agree. As I said, very clever. ^^

No ever expects anything they do to turn out this well, but that fact really has nothing to do with any arguments made on the board (except, perhaps, for someone accusing Aldorel of being conceited or falsely modest or something stupid like that.
But who bases whether they agree or disagree on barely-popular opinion? D: That's just sad.

Actually, almost everyone does, on some level. What people around us say and do vastly affects the way we look at things. So no, it's not sad, it's normal. Besides, you're taking what I said out of context. And actually it's not barely popular, it isn't popular (49 % is less than 51 %); but it looks popular.
Why is this in the recycle bin, this is so completely true. Those books are masquerading as something completely different then what they are. It would be like taking Anne Rice books and marketing them for a much younger audience.
More posts? Wow... Now i REALLY thought this thread would be dead by NOW.... although it kinda is.... not a lot of arguments these days huh?

@Adorel: Hi! Do you remember me? I used to argue that Edward wasn't abusive but in the end i had to agree... I am agreeing even more now that I actually started reading Eclipse! When i was arguing i had only read Twilight and New Moon. But now that I am reading Eclipse, i can see your points. :]

I never said which argument I thought was popular... xD;; And I'm just saying, you make it sound like neutral people look at the polls and say "THIS ONE HAS MORE VOTES SO IT MUST BE RIGHT!!"
