Well the reason for this is WHY SUCH A THiNG?!
Most Gaian already believe this is no way to stop inflations, it will only cause more.
Because of the 2% Listing fees more and more people are going to sell higher in order to get the profit and result they want. But selling high only causes others to sell high so they aren't lossing gold.
And Not only will the MP (MarketPlace) inflate it leaves Venders and Exchanger with hard time doing what they do.

I believe whole-heartedly with this entire statement, mostly so with what I highlighted. Awesome opinion, even better petition.

The developers and admins don't honestly care about inflation on Gaia; they've stated that numerous times. This isn't a way to get rid of inflation, I think. I do believe they consider it a gold sink, and in a way maybe it is - it taxes the rich more than the poor for the most part.

I think it's a terrible idea, personally. I don't pretend to really know what's going through their heads on this matter, although I don't know if it's going to have the effect you guys are thinking.

What I do think makes it terrible is that if you have a quest, you have to automatically quest longer to pay that extra 2% in order to buy what you're questing for. It's not the person you're buying it from that makes that extra 2%, the gold just goes to the aether.

Maybe this will encourage people to use the exchange more. I'm told that's a slower way to buy and sell things, but at least there's no overhead.

EDIT: Oh, and I sign, because I don't like the 2% fee either.
