Um… Hello…
*clears my throat*
Alors, I have a small, yet large request. How can it be both? Well… My girlfriend, a fellow Gaian, is quite ill. So… I was wondering if others would be kind enough to write a little “Get well soon” comment on her profile.
Okay, so I explained how this is a small request (the little comment), but it is large for two reasons: 1) I only ask that you comment out of the kindness of your hearts, and 2) she and I are probably the last two people to ask for help from others.
When I ask “out of the kindness of your hearts”, I do not mean that literally. I would not want you to pull anything out of your hearts… That could be extremely dangerous. I also do not mean that you should seek something in return. I am looking for a selfless act. I thought that perhaps others might have found love here on Gaia or elsewhere and understand what it is like to worry about the health of your loved one.
I happen to believe that we are all capable of helping others, even when it seems like everyone is against us. I have witnessed selfless acts and seen lives transformed inch by inch. Anything small helps, but it has to come from the heart. Again, not literally from the heart. *nervous laugh*
I hope to continue posting this for several days because my topics do not generate much attention. I suspect that it has something to do with my manner of speaking. Anyway... Her username is actually the subject of this topic. She is also the first avatar on my profile friends list. Yup yup.

Oh, and I have one other stipulation: I do not want to be credited for this in any way. There are few things that I truly hate in this world, and one is that I hate being recognized for anything (selfless acts, achievements, etc.)
