Debates like this aren't going to solve anything. Reason why? You get humanitarian Christian do-gooders who believe it's murder and thus should be illegal. You get the more liberal atheist figures who believe it should be up to the person. As soon as someone makes a decision to make it illegal-or-legal and keep it that way, the sooner these debates will blink out of existence.

Not all theist are pro-life and not all atheist are pro-choice. The decision has already been made. It's been made for several decades. Abortion is legal. It's just something that will always be controversial.

You have to think in terms of the majority. I get annoyed with pointless debates in any case. So someone will belly-ache about some fact or other. Deal with it and move on. That's my inspirational lesson for the day.

i think its wrong but then again its ok. its wrong to kill something that you created but then againg, its something you dont want. i think you should just have the baby and put it up for adoption. that way it will have a better life.

Well, I like that you realize that not everyone can just keep it and be all sunshine and rainbows.
That said, there are quite a lot of women who can't afford a healthy pregnancy, or who can't emotionally handle one, or physically handle one, or have moral objections to putting another kid in the system. Just be aware that adoption has issues that means it doesn't always work as well.
