Pro-Life.

I believe that life is important.There is only 1 scenario that I believe abortion should be available, and thats if the child is going to be born with defects. But other than that I think abortion is wrong on so many levels. What if you decide to get an abortion just because you were too lazy to go get on the pill or get a condom, so you decide to kill it all just because you didnt feel like getting protection. But what if that baby that you happened to kill would have grown up to be the next Eric Clapton, or Niel Armstrong? Its a person anyway. Just because its inside you dosnt mean you should have the right to choose if it lives or dies. You could have even used a condom, but even if it broke YOU KNEW THE CONSEQUENCES when you had sex that you could still get pregnant. But screw that, because the days its acceptable to murder than to use your brain. And abortion these days isnt even used just to kill the baby because the protection failed. In these days abortion is just a type of late term protection. Like if you are gonna have sex, but you dont have a condom. You arnt just gonna wait till you get protection, your just gonna think, hey I can just get rid of it later. Teens these days are using abortion just because they like to go out to parties and get ******** by a whole group of guys. How do I know this? I have a sister thats had LOTS of abortions, I dont mean just 1, or 2, I mean ALOT. She was just like your average teenage girl (these days its average at least). She was just the same as anyone else, except around guys. She even took a whole basketball team on her own. There hadnt been more black guys anywhere else, than there was in the hotel she was at. I go to school. Public school. Thats all the girls talk about at schools. They are always talking about sex and parties. One girl was bragging about being 15 and already having 3 abortions.

Well I got a bit carried a way, but abortion should be a vice, and not a virtue.

Your sister is only one person. She is not an accurate sampling of the teen population. The highest demographic to get abortions is over the age of 18, not teens.

You're right, so what's the issue? I'm "stupid" because I don't have the same point of view as you? I hardly see how that validates the insult.

The basic fact of the matter is, the "child" has no awareness and thereby is not capable of "choice". There is absolutely nothing wrong with having sex or enjoying sex. And more than half of women who get abortions do so because of failed contraceptive, not lack thereof. I don't see anything "stupid" in there.

Not to mention that she is in a vast minority of women who get rapid-fire abortions and gthe fact that sex is sex, the amount of people you have it with makes absolutely zero difference on whether or not you get pregnant. If you have sex 4 times in one day, your uterus doesn't care if it's with four different guys or your long-standing husband.

As well as the fact that more than half of women who get abortions do so because of failed contraceptive, not lack thereof.

A fetus is a non-sentient, neutral organism. It is incapable of thought, awareness, guilt or innocence. I sincerely don't see how it's any different from a bug or a bacterium. Yeah, it's "alive", but it's not "a life".

If abortion were considered murder then women could be charged with manslaughter for miscarrying.

A woman can miscarry at any time during her pregnancy. Babies are born dead. Not every fertilized egg that implants will even develop into a baby (this is called a blighted ovum).

The technical term for miscarriage is "spontaneous abortion". It is abortion that happens naturally.

A fetus is not a person. It is a potential person that upon it's ability to live outside of the woman's body is granted rights. Abortions are illegal after the point of viability (when it can be expected to live outside the womb) except when the mother's life is in danger.

To give a blastocyst, embryo, zygote or a fetus rights and to call abortion murder would be arguing against nature and damning a woman's body for doing what it must.

Well, there is always the risk to having sex. Failed contraceptive or not, there is always the risk.

Legal 101. Taking a life does not automatically make it murder.
Murder is a legal term, and has a number of precise specifications. You can't just all anything murder, whether your bleeding heart wants to or not.

I'm definately pro-choice.

I was raped while in my college dorm. I ended up not pressing charges because I was scared and I didn't want anyone to find out.

I can't imagine what it would have been like to be forced to give birth to a child that spawned from that f*****t.

I ended up going to a rape crisis center and getting the plan b pill. There are those that I'm sure would have been too frightened to do so, but I couldn't deal with the thought of getting pregnant.
