Welcome to Gaia! ::

The poor thing must be googling like made.
In my country abortion is a criminal act.

I'm done with the idiotic dribble here.

Have fun Mister Heat Miser. wink
I am pro-choice definitely, and I believe that arguments for it were already posted so I won't repeat what has already been said.
never had an abortion before.
i know people who have.
woo..so expensive and such a terrifying experience.
People barking at you, judgments made and many bridges burnt and terrible secrets to be kept forever from many people.

but I would have one if I were to be pregnant.
Better to invest some suffering to save my life than to be working and driving myself crazy for the rest of my life.
I'm pro-choice here. I don't think anyone but the woman who is pregnant should be able to dictate what she does concerning her pregnancy. I do hope that if my girlfriend were to become pregnant, that she'd talk to me first if she wanted to abort... but, I'd feel the final decision would be with her in the end.

I have a bit of a question, just out of curiosity, not meaning to be offensive. What if a woman underwent an amniocentesis and found that the baby has Down's syndrome and decided to abort. Would you think this morally wrong or still her choice?

Personally, I'd still think it the woman's choice. If she didn't want the poor child born into the world with a severe disability, never to be able to live life to it's true fullest, then that's her decision. It's in her womb, it's her body, her jurisdiction.

Like I said, I'm pro-choice in all cases, and in the situations when the woman decides to have an abortion it's still her choice, no matter what her reasons are. If she decides to abort because of the Down's syndrome or another disability, I don't see anything wrong with it. Not everyone has the will and determination to dedicate their life to raise such a child, which is even much harder than raising a healthy child. Actually I even tend to think that it's wrong to bring a child to the world when you know that it's going to have a uncurable severe disability.

Why does it being a Down's Syndrome child make it any different? It's just one of the many reasons why women may elect to abort. If it's okay to abort what would be a "healthy" fetus, why would the morality of it change if it were a "special needs" fetus?

Being pro-choice, IMHO, means I believe a woman has the right to choose no matter her reasoning.

All the mothers that are harassing Lisa Knight. You really should be ashamed of yourselves. You have children of your own, but still your picking on a child over the internet, take a look at yourselves. Mothers are supposed to be mature and look out for children, whether they are naughty or not. You seem really immature yourselves.

thank you rose for defending me.
every one here has overlooked that i did detail my baby that every one assumed i lied about when i never did lie.
i know i have a weird and strange way of defending myself every one deliberately attacked me for no particular reason just because im being defensive on this doesant mean that i am lying about any of this. its just it hurts to talk about most of this i willl talk about my child and i have on my profile so if all you want to look i detailed it their and part of it more explaining my parents in a more vile way wich they did things that made my real parent's lose legal custody of me wich my friends family adopted me and my siblings gave us a loving and caring enviroment.
those who have deliberately attacked me you should feel ashamed of attacking a 13 year old child what you all did was wrong mean and very cruel.

dark rose thank you so much for defending me im sorry if i was being very hostile with you i was just really angery when every one here on this forum deliberately attacked me.

None of that was there before. She'd made her profile private after she was called out on not even mentioning her "daughter" before. If you look back in her posting history as well, you'd be able to see how full of s**t she is. She's an attention seeker.

gonk

You know, if I had something better to do then this I'd be very grateful but there ain't s**t on TV and it's 5:30 in the morning. GIVE ME SOMETHING TO DO DAMMIT D<

I know I read her profile at 6ish this morning (the time where I live) when she first started posting.

The date in the photo is October 22 2008, the birthday she gave for the baby was January 1/2009 12:59 am. In that photo she should have been 7 months pregnant. I don't know about you but that 12 year old doesn't look 7 months pregnant. She listed her birthday as 02/14/1996 so she would have been 12 at the time of the photo, but 13 now.

Oh and for my opinion, I'm a pro-choice Christian. biggrin

Oh God. rofl That's golden. And no, definitely doesn't look any where NEAR 7 months. I just reached my 7 month mark and for most of my pregnancy I didn't really look pregnant, but now I look like I have a ball for a stomach. xd

I'll never understand why people will lie and/or exaggerate to get attention. Especially when it's a young person trying to put a positive spin on a negative circumstance to make themselves look "cool" or mature.

I know a girl who was really into Star Wars III and posted a pic of Anakin with the caption, "omg I love anakin. my b/f looks just like him and I'm pregnant with twins!" Like...really?
It is murder. That baby is alive.
IO just hate it when people think they can just get rid of a life when they want to. scream

They can because being pregnant significantly affects the woman's own body and life.
And it's not a baby unless it's already born.
