Not to mention the fact that the number of children born with problems like Spina Bifida and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is significantly higher in unwanted pregnancies.
Women who don't want their pregnancies are statistically less likely to change their lifestyle (drinking, smoking, eating sensibly etc.) during pregnancy, because they don't have the same desire to protect the health of the developing fetus.

Not to say I believe people should be allowed to go out and whore themselves out, then get an abortion every time they get knocked up. That's just sick.

But when it comes to things like teen pregnancy, there are a lot of risks for the child, like underdevelopment and so-forth, not to mention it can really screw up the teen's life. So it'd be just horrible to put a child through something like that.

You have to admit, it would be very simple to show that you're telling the truth. If nothing else, it would be a kindness to the other women on here to let us know your rapist's name so we can look him up in the sex offender database and know his face so we can be safe should he get out on parole.

Right now you're in a position of making a claim without providing anything but your word to go on. Consider that you assumed I must be lying when I said that, without abortion, I would never have been born, and it's easy to see why people would doubt a mother so reluctant to talk about her child.

Y'know, I have yet to have ever found evidence that there has been an incidence in which a woman had many abortions simply because she opted out of contraception and continued to lead a promiscuous lifestyle.
