*Sorry for not updating for so long! I have a lot of things going on in my life right now that I have to deal with. Unfortunately, as of this point in my life, Gaia is not on the top of my list of priorities. Once I sort everything out though, hopefully I'll be able to make time for this updating this thread again. Again, my sincere apologies!*

One of Asia's most influential pop bands, TVXQ (Tong Vfang Xien Qi) is a Korean boy group consisting of five very talented members. From eldest to youngest, they are: Kim Jae Joong, Jung Yunho, Park Yoochun, Kim Junsu, and Shim Changmin. Although they are Korean, TVXQ has also debuted in Japan, Taiwan, and China, as well as in South Korea. Together, they have released Korean albums as well as Japanese albums. They specialize mainly in the areas of dancing, Acapella, various drama acting, and Pop with an R&B vibe.

Although their official name is Tong Vfang Xien Qi, they are also known as: DBSK (Dong Bang Shin Ki), DBSG (Dong Bang Shin Gi), and Tohoshinki (the Japanese equivalent). Dong Bang Shin Ki is a Korean phrase that translates into "Gods Rising From the East". This five-man dance team came into being after an audition in 2004.

♥ 1) The first member to join was Kim Junsu. At age 14, he was first recognized by a televised talent search. The judges were astonished by his powerful vocals, thus, he was trained for six years before debuting as Xiah Junsu. His stage name, which was chosen by himself, referred to his desire to not only be recognized in Korea, but also throughout the continent as well.

♥ 2) The second member to join was Jung Yunho. He secured his spot in TVXQ through a dance competition. Prior to this, he accumulated some experience of being a rapper and backup dancer for singer Dana. U-Know Yunho is his chosen stage name.

♥ 3) The third member to join was Kim Jae Joong. He left his hometown in Chungnam to audition for SM Entertainment, and because of this, he experienced poverty and strife before becoming the successful artist he is today. His stage name was chosen by a fortune-teller: Young Woong Jae Joong or Hero.

♥ 4) The third member to join was Shim Changmin, the youngest member out of the group. Following his friend to the audition, he impressed the judges with his vocal powers. He later joined the group under the stage name: Choikang Changmin or Max.

♥ 5) The last to join was Park Yoochun. Six months before the TVXQ's first debut, Yoochun was added to the group. As a winner of a talent show, he was granted permission to sign with SM Entertainment in Korea. He now performs under the stage name, Micky.

Their musical talent, “pretty-boy” looks, and charisma helped to drive the sensational group into a chart-topping force. TVXQ has toured in concerts, made guest appearances, and participated in numerous commercials throughout several Asian countries. No wonder they are called "Gods Rising From the East"!

History of this Thread

This official DBSK thread is created by a group of fellow DBSK fans on Sat Dec 16, 2006. Prior to this thread, there was another one where we loved to hang out in. However, the front page lacks a proper introduction, and it seems like everything from the front page has been deleted. Driven to believe that DBSK deserves a much better introduction and thread, we (the supporters of DBSK) decided to create a new and improved Official DBSK Thread.

But it wasn't until the old thread reached over 200 pages of unforgettable conversations and DBSK contents that we all decided to create this new one. We were very sad to leave the old thread, for it is still the place where we all first met as DBSK fans. But it's okay! This thread is just as special as the old one, for we've all worked hard together on this. The old thread will live on in this new thread. blaugh

Theatrical Drama
VACATION

VACATION consisted of four episodes and a special: Cassiopeia (U-KNOW), Beautiful Life (Xiah and Max), The Way U Are (Hero), and Eternal (Micky), which were first shown at Yonsei University from July 7 to August 8, 2006, and were later released on the third (C) version of their third album "O"-正.反.合. as a separate DVD. For this drama, the band recorded an original soundtrack which consisted of two tracks and their instrumental versions.

TVXQ's Radio Program Airs in Japan




A radio program hosted by the Korean pop idol group TVXQ is becoming quite popular in Japan. From earlier this month TVXQ has been hosting a weekly program called "TVXQ Bigeastation" on the Japan FM Network channel. The program is currently being aired on six local FM stations, and one more station will start broadcasting the program starting next month.

The program mainly consists of anecdotes by TVXQ members and their music. It is also open to new production ideas and requests from listeners. Attesting to the soaring popularity of TVXQ, fans have asked the program to be aired in large cities like Tokyo and Osaka as well.

TVXQ will represent Korea at the MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2007 on May 26th at the Saitama Super Arena.

Within this few months ,TVXQ were madly busy with their stuff...maybe because of the tiredness,his asma appear again...Recently ,he was doing a treatment in hospital...Just pray that he would recover soon...poor micky..their company should give them rest..Their energy have reached the maximum...

TVXQ! Extends Tour at the Request of Japanese Fans

TVXQ! will add two Japanese performances to its "TVXQ! Second Live Tour 2007 - Five in the Black." The group was originally slated to hold 14 performances in 9 cities starting May 10. But the guys have altered their plans and will now add two shows at Tokyo's Nippon Budokan Hall. The additional performances are a result of impassioned pleas by fans who were devastated that their original shows had sold-out. With a thankful heart, the members of TVXQ! vow to put on 16 great and intense concerts.

.....I read in another forum on Boajjang that Lee Soo-man doesn't want any of his people preforming in Japan anymore so their concert is canceled AND micky and jaejoong was REALLY looking forward to the japan concert so instead said he was going to quit and start acting and Jaejoon was going to go solo. I think this is DEFINITLY a lie though. BoA recently had a concert in Japan and there was already a super gigantic truck driving around Japan promoting (and sellling..??) their japanese tickets. and just because they can't preform in Japan... i don't think that's anything to get upset over.

[i'll explain this one near the end. Near the end, they poke fun at the way little jaejoong picks up his little notebook. LIttle jaejoong said to Jaejoong before, "Jaejoong hyung...follow me." XD. Bsically hes the same kid from teh music video Balloons and Jaejoong wrote into little jaejoongs journal "I'll REALLY buy you some food~" ..and he never did. So as evidence..little jaejoong brought it for Jaejoongs crime XD]

XD adorable~. Also previously before this scene, kang ho dong asks the girl ,"Why do you like junsu?"
