If any of you are willing to help me out with a project for my Korea Through Ethnography class; I need an interview by Thursday (it's Tuesday >.< ) It's won't be hard, just asking a few questions about kpop. @Redeim: I'd help you with K-Pop if the only artists I knew weren't just DBSK & SuJu... ok I know a little SHINee, Se7en & BoA, but really not that much...

I really hope those news about Yunho, Changmin and their fathers is not true. I think I would cry if they really said that (mostly the 2 other members), because I wouldn't be able to believe they really want the best thing for their friends, as this would mean they're telling us Jaejoong, Junsu and Yoochun lied about the unfair contract. And I wouldn't support it, may it be true or false (both would, I think, literally kill me mentally).

interesting theory, but I don't know how plausible it is. I don't doubt they discussed this, but Yunho and ChangMin were both doing a drama at the time the lawsuit began, and I think it was more they didn't want to lose their spots in their acting careers, especially since they were both so new to the acting field.

They've been thinking about this for a while.
For all we know SM knew about the upcoming lawsuit and bribed Yunho and ChangMin to stay with him by getting them into a drama.

TVXQ's fanclub Cassiopeia has expressed their official stand on SM Entertainment's press conference.

On the 2nd of November, they have stated their official standpoint through a fansite.

Cassiopeia expressed, "Everything, excluding the words directly from TVXQ, we do not believe, and we would like SM to stop trying to divide the fans by causing confusion/chaos." and "We are very disappointed, and saddened with SM by saying those statements were by Yunho and Changmin, and also with the press conference. The reason for this lawsuit is because of the 13-year slave contract, not because of the cosmetic business. With the court’s decision released on the 27th, SM is to not interfere with the three members’ own/individual activities, and would immediately like for SM to stop with their actions on trying to divide the TVXQ members."

At the same time, with the release of Yunho’s and Changmin’s statements, suspicions were roused among the fans. Many questions were raised, like the position of the signature and name, and the doubt that it may not be handwritten. Conflict between SM and the fans will seem to continue from this point on.

Sunbaenim's Words Matter: Andy, “With TVXQ, wanting to stand on one stage”, Tuesday November 3, 2009

Andy, member of popular group Shinhwa, has expressed his frustration about the predicament of DBSK, as well as his affection for his juniors.

Currently promoting his 2nd solo album, Andy said in an interview with Asia Economy, “I can understand a little about the pain that they are experiencing right now. As a peer I feel frustrated for them. I hope they can settle the problem amicably without anyone getting hurt.”

With regards to the DBSK members who initiated legal proceedings against their management company SM Entertainment, Andy offered his opinion. “I can’t say who’s right and who’s wrong. Of course I hope it works out fine but it’s difficult to say. Any singer, no matter who it is, would want to stand on stage. Do not ever lose track of your own beliefs and your own will. I hope you will remember that the fans are more important than anything else.”

He recalled, “Back then when the (Shinhwa) members were all together and we was DBSK, we also thought, ‘Wow those guys are cool… Scary’ because we felt that their performance and songs were really powerful, so much so that it scared us. I never imagined that the situation would become like this, and I’m really shocked and anxious for them.”

When asked about the reason behind how the Shinhwa members could come this far with no discord, despite going about their solo activities, Andy had this to say. “Rather than to say it’s ambition, we’re just working hard and pushing one another on. We’re all people with ambition, but we don’t think of wanting to standing out and becoming like anyone. Though we have to find our own colors but we still think ‘if not for Shinhwa we wouldn’t have reached here’, so we don’t argue because of our own selfishness and lose something big over something small.”

Wrapping the interview, Andy said, “When we stand on stage as Shinhwa again, I hope we can stand on the same stage as DBSK. Although I don’t know if we’ll be compared but since we’re very competitive, nothing is impossible if we’re more alert and prepare better. We won’t feel embarrassed and we will let everyone see a great performance. I hope to see DBSK together again.”
