Its a matter of opinion. While I do have a soft spot for guys with longer hair, buzz cuts generally look "cleaner".

I have one by law. I like longer hair on me personally but when you get older ie late college or after school most girl will then prefer the professional looking guy. Also some girl actually do prefer the shorter hair anyways.

Well, for one thing, it's the official military hairdo. So that accounts for some people who either are in, have been in, are going into, or just want to look like a member of the military.

Then there are the people who do it, just because it's easy to take care of. You really don't ever have to wash your hair, because you don't have enough of it, to justify using shampoo. It's also impossible to have a bad hair day.

I used to have the hairdo, myself (I KNOW! I can't believe it, either!), just because it was easy to take care of, and at the time, I didn't really care much about my hair.

It wasn't until I started growing it (Senior year of high school), that I began to hold value in it. Now, I can't imagine ever having a buzz cut, again! And the thought of someday going bald, scares the living HELL out of me!

I would get an afro, but my head is ******** up. I have my mom's thick hair on the top and my dad's thin hair on the sides (his family is basically white people), so it has to be shape dup constantly and is just looks whispy ont he sides. When I grow up, I'm not going to get a cul-de-sac, I'm gonna get a little hill on my head from balding. gonk
