What goes best with plaid flannel shirts?

I haven't really started going along with the plaid trend, nor have I been paying attention to it. Then, dun dun dun, I bought one yesterday. My version is MUCH darker than the brown in the photo, but it's the same style with the breast pockets.

So, are there any experts with advice? : ) I want to wear it to school tommorow!

A few sheep, some stubbies and a pair of gumboots.

Classic grunge: Medium to dark jeans, torn optional, with a sweatshirt on top. Go with comfortable shoes, or black/dark boots, and off you go.

Cute jeans and simple tennis shoes.

Or maybe khakis with matching brown shoes. That would probably be cute too.
