i love the steampunk jewelry.
can anyone reccommend any places where i can buy some?
preferably necklaces. i've looked on etsy, but the ones i like are outta my price range.

I got some on ebay. You have to dig around a bit but it's worth the wait. I'd also recommend making your own. Steam-punk is al about DIY and it's not too hard to take apart an old watch and make it into a broach. You just need a little ingenuity and patience.

I'm sort of tempted to recommend the game Trine here, although the only steamy thing it's got is cogs. There are plenty of them and they certainly suggest a society with steamy technology but they don't really do anything other than spin in the background while you solve physics-based puzzles and platform. That said, it's the prettiest game I've ever played and the voiceover's unskippable but soothing and lovely (and British) although the game is overpriced. The demo's available on Steam for free though.

Any game involving a wizard who spent his time at magic school trying to make a fake fireball spell to impress the laydeez and goes off on an epic quest without putting his trousers on first is certainly worth a look.

I started working on my first home made petticoat.

Its made out of a nice stretchy cream fabic, but not too stretchy, and soft.

It will be a 3 tiered petticoat that goes about to my ankles, my friend's mom is helping me work on it and showed me how to do it.

We got the first two attached, and I gathered for the first time.

I'm really excited to go back and finish!

She is a very exsperienced seamstress.

I'm not that familiar with the 'steampunk' fashion, but I'm becoming more so.
I do Textiles at college, and we are creating costumes for the college musical 'return to the forbidden planet'
The theme for the costumes is 'steampunk'
and we have to make corsets.

just wondering, does anybody have any ideas on how a 'steampunk' corset costume would be like?

that's really awesome! I dressed up as a steampunk adventuress for a halloween party in disneyworld. it's such a fun style, and remarkably easy to incorporate in everyday life ^^
