Since I was child, I've always loved the way clock-work, goggles(SPECIALLY GOGGLES XDDD *is in love with her pilot goggles ;v*, or mechanical stuff looked like on clothing <3
When I came across this fashion, I completely fell for it.
I'm actually thinking on starting to follow this fashion irl, since it looks so awesome XD
Not only clothes, but decoration itself :v

I know what you mean, I've always been interested in steampunk, and fell totally in love with it recently. Now a lot of my outfits have steampunk elements to them.

Same here xD Or at least, that's what I try, haha.~ ♪

Yeah, the funny part is it wasn't really on purpose. I was buying new clothes about a week ago and I was just like, "hey this is cute." Later I realized that a lot of the items would fit in easily with my steampunk gear.

I'd L O V E to buy things like that .___.
Happy Bastille Day.
Steampunk has got to be one of the most extravagant, elegant styles I have seen behind straight up Victorian. I used to own a couple of pieces, but I never felt mature enought to wear them a lot lawl rofl
I just discovered to my dismay, that I don't own any summer appropriate steampunk tops or blouses. Yesterday I wore my skirts (sans petticoats) and a black tanktop, but it ended up looking like Victorian inspired goth instead of steam. It still looked good, I got a lot of boys giving me the up and down, just not steam enough.

I've found that, for cheap, a simple button-down collared shirt works in lieu of any real Victorian looking top, I have one in white and one in cream (the only problem is mine are short-sleeved, which doesn't work as well as the longer sleeved ones, but it still doesn't look bad).

Like the goggles I mentioned before xD (I've always been in love with goggles as accessories, and I bought mine long before I knew about steampunk :v ) ~ ♪

My outfit revolves around my jacket which is way too hot for summer.

Yeah, I have a beautiful, maroon military style jacket that is ideal for steampunk and I live in California, so I can only wear it for 3 months out of the year.
has there ever been a steampunk movement or happening int the past?
like some rebel breakthrough or random craziness?

I've never bought anything with Steampunk in mind but one night, just for fun, I decided to put together the best steamy outfit I could with the clothing and materials I had. And I found that it was dead easy. Okay, I may not have any goggles or retro-futuristic guns, but my existing collection of bags, hats, jackets, skirts, blouses, jewelry, etc, put together a few decidedly decent Steampunk outfits.
Anyone go to the Steampunk panel at the Otakon convention?

unlikely, Otakon is far for me sad
I've had this for a while, but never got around taking pictures of it.

The gears actually turn and are linked and such. It's pretty awesome.
I like the steampunk culture, but I'm more drawn to the other side of the victorian fashion. I do like to incorporate some steampunk into there though, like the necklace and some brown tones every now and then.
I'm also getting a steampunk inspired tattoo soon, because I do really like the idea behind it.
awesome pocketwatch, Bloddstained-Snow
really intricate indeed.
I also like steampunk
but I wouldn't label myself in that cult
but I too want to incorporated some of it
especially in drawings
right now, I'm planning on modifying my wallet, cuz I don't like pink or hello kitty xp
