I can't believe I hadn't posted this earlier, but here's something y'all would probably enjoy...

It's one of my favourite songs, Ramalama Bang Bang, by Roisin Murphy. You may have seen the routine danced to it on So You Think You Can Dance?. It's a very clanky-clockyworky song to begin with, but the theme of the dance was Victorian zombies to boot.

I need a judgement in fashion, so I figured there was nowhere better to turn than to you ladies and gents. I've got the base of a costume here:

And I want to know what to add. I've got some charcoal-grey knitted handwarmers (home made), brilliant green knitted spats (home made), and a belt long enough to cross the shoulder. But I need accessories, and lots of them.

Very dashing! But I definitely agree with you about the accessories -- this outfit screams Victoriana but you need some scruffy metal and leather to steam it up!

I've been digging through my unearthly mounds of junk, looking for something to convert into a punkish doodad, but nothing seems to be forthcoming. I might have to head to the local hardware store.

I think this is the first time I've ever enjoyed anything from So You Think You Can Dance?.
I love music that incorporate machinery in creative ways.

Have you tried it before? I've heard a lot of people say they think it's easier than knitting, and you're a good knitter, so I'd bet you'd have an easy time with it.

I did try, very hard, but everything I did came out knotted and shapeless. It was depressing, so I stick with knitting now.
