I wish there was more steampunk things so I could marvel at them.

It really is awesome.

Me too, I can never find anything.
My friend does a lot with steampunk. She just raids thrift stores, and alters victorian-like outfits.
That laptop is siiiiick.
I...Think....Im...in love eek
It remindes me very much of Trigun...i saw the pictures and emidently thought of the steam trait thingy within the first 6 episodes.

I aspire to dress in Lolita...but i am going to encoperate this into Lolita...^^...maybe even base some of my Clothing line on Lolita/Steampunk...
(I aspire to create my own line of clothing and have my own Boutique)

again..Love...Love...Love..0_o...where do i buy these things?
I've never heard of steampunk until now, but damn, it looks cool.
mechanical grunge style basically right?

I've been on a steampunk rampage the past couple of days. : )
But I've only found a couple of websites...

There's lots of good pictures here. And here, but it's not fashion, really. And I've just found this place, but it looks pretty decent. EDIT: Also there's some interesting stuff here. didn't really look through it... But the one labeled "Pretty hot asian guy in steampunk gear"... I found those dreadlock things selling on a website... I'll try to find it.

Also you can get some inspiration from steampunk-ish movies... I'd reccomend Treasure Planet [okay, maybe just if you like animated movies- but it does have some nice clothes] and Lemony snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events [pretty bad movie, pretty good clothes and atmosphere].
EDIT: List of steampunk works~

Lastly, just look at Victorian era clothes and just add rivets and gears. smile

Thanks for the links!

Hey, ASOUE was a GREAT movie! gonk

Rivets/Gears/Keys/Clocks FTW

It was okay. sweatdrop

I actually thought this thread died a while ago- I'm glad it's back! : )

The person who makes the dreadfalls is called Anachronaut. I can't find her website, but his/her Deviantart page has some very good stuff!
Wait, here's his/her livejournal (click on the supra excellent coat):

well the last guy, I've seen his LJ, and he's into the cyber goth culture except he actually looks great in his s**t. He makes his own falls and it's not called "steampunk". Isn't steampunk some made up genre for comic books? xD And I don't know what he listens to but cyber goth sucks, death to synthpoop.

ANYWAYS, the look you seem to be going for is the industrial look minus the nazi s**t. xDDD Trent Reznor used to dress alot like that. It's when victorian goth reminiscent of Clan of Xymox meets industrial culture. just nab some ideas from them.
This style is beautiful heart .

Oh my gosh I have never heard of this before but it looks so awesome.
It is like High fashion and victorian meets industrial.
