yeah, i currently use L'Oreal True Match in C1, and even that is a little different from my natural skin tone.
it's okay though, makes me use less foundation. ^__^

i'm assuming like two or three shades different, not epicly dark. CX

I don't know if they have Sephoras outside the United States, but you can easily just get products from them online.

Oh, I love E.L.F. They're great too, especially for starting out with makeup.

Ooooh, I definitely recommend E.L.F. Really cheap, but really effective makeup. I mean they have makeup brushes for a dollar. How can you beat that? They're really soft too, and do they do the job, and that's what matters.

Also, Amanikitty, Sephora is actually a french chain...although I don't know if they'd have them in New Zealand...D:

xD Sephora's French? Word? I had no clue. xD But I guess that makes sense. (I want to apply to this recently opened one on the Upper East Side but I dunno if they expect experience, or if they give you training or what.)

I did a little group order with my local friends and got some bronzer and some brushes and some eyeliner. Works like a charm. I actually find that using their liquid eyeliner and their eyeliner pen worked better than when I used to use Urban Decay's liquid eyeliner all the time. I still use my Urban Decay eyeliner pencil though, just so I can draw on my waterline and stuff.

I need to get some darn primer next-- I keep on getting shadows that doesn't look right on me and stuff, or at least it doesn't look right by itself because they tend to fade or look too ashy on me than bold.

Huzzah, VR left Frisco yesterday afternoon. It's an 8 hour drive from Frisco to Vegas...I'm hoping it'll be here on Monday. I'm so excited to see if my coord will work. If not, it's off with her head.

Happy Halloween everyone!
Did any of you dress up? (pics?)
I wore my VR JSK. And I slipped on a banana peel (seriously) and fell and it got dirty. I think the dirt will come off...but I also scraped my knee pretty badly and so it bled on the lining. I don't think that's gonna come out. At least it's only the lining.

Dressed in Lolita - no, it was raining and muddy so i wasn’t willing to ruin good clothes

Dressed in costume- yes! I was Alice in Wonderland! I decided to dress like her since EVERYONE (even my dang teachers!) says i look just like her. My poor mother sewed the whole costume for me because i got angry at our new sewing machine... BUT HEY, at least i got tons of candy i can share with her! ^_^;;;
And OWWW!! What horrible painful luck. Well shoot, if you were right here I would do my best to get that stain out for you, but like you said, at least it’s only on the lining.

I probably should've thought of that. But I couldn't have Vampire Requiem and not wear it on Halloween.

But seriously, I've never sold any of my stuff and I don't think I'm going to. I'm really weird but I'd feel really guilty if I sold my clothes. Like I was betraying them or something XD.

I would send you pictures of it if i had a clue to how to post it up.. and my digital camera was build in the year 4036234234 so its too andvanced for me! (it was build in like 2000.... im terrible at useing electronics... T^T and im not allowed to post pictures of myself so all you would get is the clothes on the floor.)

@Vert: Don't get me wrong, I think VR is absolutely gorgeous...but I don't have anything to wear it with! I don't own a black blouse, anything red, It's either OTT sweet or brown. rofl So yeah...We'll wait and see though, it just left customs, I'm hoping to receive it tomorrow. Then I can start planning. Bodyline isn't helping me. D:

edit: Just found out we're going to the Cirque shoes in town for December (it's a family thing. There are so many shows here in Vegas, we made a promise to watch them all. lol) So I'm definitely going to be keeping VR. rofl I'm a flip flopper. What does anyone think of this coord?


The tights are more of a crimson red, rather than a true red, I don't know what kind of red VR is though, so I'm still a bit reserved. And I was thinking of placing this beautiful Velvet Rose corsage I found at an art fair on the beret. As for the boots...Y/N?

I was also thinking about using the top hat from Starry Night Theatre when it releases internationally. Opinions? Too much black? gonk

The dress and the hat will go great together. But, the tights don’t seem to work. If you use more red that covers up a big area like that, i fear you would look like a cherry. So, since the dress has bits of white of it then get tights that have white and black in it. The boots seem to work fine.

damn....I wish that there was a Sephora store where I live, but I'm not wasting my gas to drive up to Chicago for that - so until then, I'm sticking with The Body Shop - you might have some luck there Eevee. They do free make overs and give out pointers, but be sure to tell them what sort of look you're going for. Sometimes those folks use the people getting make overs as a test to see how their new collection looks >_>

i just did the "retrolining" thingy, and then added a little dark red lip colour, and wham!
i actually looked nearly my age for once. :'D

so now i'm definitely going to be classying up my look a little.
i'm just on the hunt for some white/off-white heels to complete a classic lolita outfit & then i'll post some pictures.

I don't trust them, they've marked up SS Prices by a shitload..that and they have an ita-tastic front page image. If you wanted shoes on the cheap, stick with Mashimaro Girl or QCute. They sell the same exact things, but a little bit cheaper.
