I was going to say, damn, you are lucky to be able to see it, but I can watch it too! Usually, I dont get to see things, since I am in Canada.

Not the usual Lolita, since she is African American.

It seems that she isnt so into the new look so much.

If you can beat me, msg me. 210 Animes watched.

...I've seen more than my fair share of African American Lolitas. I have no idea where they don't fit in to your "usual" image of it, unless you're referring to the "ideal" that pale skin = most rori.

Soooo, my school loans are coming to bite me in the a** with snaggly teeth.

My lolita days are going to be a bit...delayed. x.x

Thing is, I already put like $100 of stuff on hold on egl_comm_sales.

Now I feels like a poohead.

Also, on a happier note, can one use a gussied-up squaredancing dress as country lolita? I was thinking of adding just a bit of red ribbon here and there and picking up a straw hat on teh cheap that I can customize to match. I'll post pics of the silly thing after I actually GET it. If I can....T.T

The problem is that the skirt of a squaredancing dress isn't the right shape for a Lolita skirt. It doesn't create a bell shape, and it looks really odd when you try to use a Lolita petticoat with it. Plus, 90% of the sleeves are too poofy, most of the dresses aren't even the right length, if they a semi-suitable shape.

^w^ thank you very much

well,I'm afraid that someone will think my dress is cosplay since I wear kitty ears with it,but I am not fond of the lace headdresses that seems to be common in alot of lolita pictures I've seen

Here is my outfit (>W< ignore my ugly face please, i take HORRID pictures)

the horror DX

so i took a picture of me with my darling parasol that my fiance bought for me
but its kind of dark

>w< I'm really worried that my outfit looks to cosplayish already since i got it off of bodyline
but i was trying to find something classical/gothic-ish

This one isn't TOO poofy, sleevies wise. XD

And it's knee-length on me, as I am 6'0". I can see that usually they're WAAAY too long. Is there some way to add panels or something to get that lovely bell shape? I'm wicked with some DIY but horrible at making things from scratch. >w<

Which, not to doubt you, but it looked like it had the space for a petticoat under it. *is newb*

I twirled all around the vintage shop when I tried it on and probably harrassed customers and everything. xD

And and I found the perfect purse to go with it there! It is straw and looks like there are strawberries in it, but they lift up and it is a normal purse inside.

AND!!!! Is there some way to make a peter-pan collar out of a normal pointy collar? there were like eleventy billion ruffled blouses in my size at the goodywill that had stupid pointy collars. One even had the tiered sleeveses like some of the brand ones.

The world is both cruel and beautiful.

The issue with a squaredancing skirt is that all of the volume is at the bottom, because of how it's tiered. There's too much volume at the top, and not enough at the bottom. Because of this, it's really difficult to modify. You would have to take the tiers apart and redo them. Or, make a new skirt portion altogether.
Tiers themselves are able to work fine with Lolita, but you have to sure that the top panel is 2-3x your waist, and the middle tier is only 1.5x the size of that tier, and the bottom is 1.5x the size of the middle one. Most Square dancing skirts go for 1.5x the size of your waist for the top tier, and 3x that for the middle, and 3x that for the next one, and so on.
A petticoat will fit, yes, but the skirt will not produce the correct shape, because the skirt is not made to be the right shape.

There is a tutorial on drafting a Peter Pan collar here.
