I don't have any circle lenses or wear contacts in general, but I have been interested in them for the past month and have considered getting some. I'm looking into a group order on Livejournal now for the Korean Geo site.
Since I've had no experience with wearing contacts period, I'm probably only going to order one pair for now. I don't want to spend the money and then not be able to even get them over my eyeball.
(I have a fear of fingers and eyes D: )

I think the look of circle lenses is very, very cute~ ♥ My little sister bought some and they look extra-adorable on her because she has dark eyes. I'm just not sure if I'd actually wear them--I already have to spend so much on my everyday contacts.

My mother wears different color contacts just for the color so I don't think she would find it weird to get these just for aesthetics, but all my friends are like "That's stupid, you would look weird without anything other than just brown"
I want green or hazel contacts.

Nanami.x.Yuki- Yeaahhh, I'm trying to show people that, but all they've ever seen here are pics of, like, the hypersize black lenses. And unless you're used to looking at ulzzangs and such, it's likely to come off as 'creepy'. D:

I know! rolleyes Hypersize are okay sometimes, but rarely. But yeah, some ulzzangs look creepy cute, with those hella big lens. And thats in pics--I'm pretty sure that in real life it would look horrible. =.=';

I do want to get them but I'm scared that I might get eye complications D:
Nooo, but I think that I will but some soon, but I'll only wear them sometimes, like when I want to look extra cute.

A group order would be cool! But, they rarely work out good online unless you know who your ordering with. It can really get to be a really sticky situation.

Anyways, I hope your thread goes great! I would love to know more about circle lens!

Oh and *off topic* is there any ulzzang/korean/soompi-like threads out there?

Nanami- Eye problems? Do you mean that you'd be that unlucky 1 out of 10,000 people who'd manage to get an eye infection or something? :/ Ouch.... or that since the lenses are all of the same base curve, essentially, that it'd hurt your eyes? Ah well, I don't begrudge you of your decision- getting circle lenses can be a dangerous things sometimes, if you don't try and be safe. 3nodding

I don't think I'll ever be buying lenses over 14.2 mm. D: I just.... know I'd look creepy (0% cute) with them. Haha. Do you have a brand preference, or one series in particular that you like?

OrigamiDisaster- Psshht- you can do it! I got a friend at school a pair of Angel Greens, and she could not do the contact thing for the life of her. It took her three months, but she eventually managed to start getting things in her eye. C: Fantastic! And green lenses are so pretty. <3

Actually, I'm exceedingly unsqueamish (used to gross other kids out by poking the side of my eyeball), and It took me, like, three whole days to 1) man up enough to get a contact in my eye and 2) to actually, successfully, get both in. I'm sure you can do it. 4laugh Oh, and you'll want to check out th elast two sentences in my reply to aurae below regarding good prices for Geo lenses. ;P


aurae- Yeesh- I've heard about how much contacts can cost (my best friend has an incredible amount of dailies in her bathroom drawer-- it's insane. xD) However, I do know that rocketman is doing a preorder with Geos for $16 shipped. 3nodding It's in the list of stores in post one. :]]

Noxin:: Thanks, I definitely plan to try poking my eyes out for the sake of cute eye color one day. It wouldnt be wise to order them now though because there is chance I'll have moved before they are shipped which would be no good. I'll probably get to it once I get settled in at uni.

I'll check out rocketman's site. I think those are two dollars less than the ones I was checking out. Let me find the ones I was trying to decide between. Maybe you can help pick between the two.

Noxin - I'll probably cave in and order some at some point in the future, maybe once I'm more certain of my financial situation. It's nice that there always seems to be an inexpensive group order going on somewhere~ Right now I'd just feel guilty spending so much on specialty lenses when I really have other things I need to take care of.

I ordered a pair already from that GO on livejournal. They were 16$ a pair including shipping as well.
Wow, I can't believe I put that order in and forgot about it. That is a bit freaky. But hey, at least since its already in and the order is going out today, I'll probably get them before I leave in two weeks.


I wonder which ones I got? (and I'm so glad I went and looked back at the GO to see which ones I was interested in in the first place. )

Noxin~WOW! This thread is way awesome! eek For the longest time I thought there was no way to get these contacts unless I went to Japan... Hey from the places you've ordered from, do the vials have labels on them/or any proof they're official?

I've heard horror stories about this one blog shop: http://fallineyes.blogspot.com/, they have pretty good deals, and I was going to order from them too... but then I read reviews from their customers, Big-Dolly-Eyes, This blog.

Neo Glamour Violet


One lens in, one lens out.


Harsh Flash


Enlargement: 6/10
- It was a visible difference when one lens was in and one lens was out, but if a person were
looking for an enlarged effect, this didn't really wouldn't do it.

Colour/Design: 5/10
- Because my eyes are a very dark brown, the purple pigments didn't show through unless
really harsh flash pictures or through the halo effect[which didn't happen often cause my eyes
are big to begin with]. However, after I had gotten over the fact that the purple didn't show, in the
middle is a light brown so it gave my eyes a pretty look. It still wasn't too obvious but I was
fairly happy. Though it'd look MUCH better on people with eye colors other than brown.

Comfort: 8/10
- These were pretty comfy at least. Had to get used to them in the first week cause I have
astigmatism and the contacts had to form to my eye shape, but afterward I didn't feel them. I'd
say they start feeling dry around 4 or 5 hours.

I've seen Glamour Blue and Grey on other people and they show up just fine. Quite beautifully
actually, but I would advise staying away from Glamour Violet if you want a purple color.

Enlargement: 9/10
- There's a very big difference with one in and one out. I haven't taken a picture yet but it's very
noticeable mainly because of the black ring around the lens. That really defines the contact.

Colour/Design: 8/10
- I loooove the color even though it's a little abnormal. It really pops out and the pigment is really
strong so it'll cover ANY color of eyes. However, the design is rather unnatural, which doesn't
bother me but other than some pictures, they don't look real in person. Especially when you're
close though in person they are very stunning. My fiance's sister had to stop a couple times
when she was talking to me because she couldn't get over how awesome the contacts were.

Comfort: 7/10
- These lenses are pretty thick so I notice they're on my eyes, but it's still comfortable. Also, the hole is very small so I can slightly see the color of the lens at the edge of my peripheral
vision. They also start irritating my eyes in about 3 or 4 hours. But I have been having dry eyes
lately so I'm sure it doesn't help when I wear them xD

I've noticed a lot of people who've ordered these don't really like them, probably cause they're
more suited for cosplay and costumes, rather than every day wear cause they really don't look
natural, especially because of the black ring. Though the colors are fantastic. My best friend has
the green ones. They're awesome. I'll take pictures of her lenses another time.
