Special Effects Hair Dye?

So I've been wanting some orange in my hair for a while now,
Not that sucky L'Oreal "copper" s**t...
Can anyone tell me the names of stores that sell Special Effects?
I'd prefer not to order over the internet or anything.
I like in the eastern US, if that helps?

I live in Ohio and while I do not know of any stores that sell special effects, I can give you a great website. www.amphigory.com go to "hair dye" at the top. It's $10/4oz bottle and they ship from somewhere in the midwest I believe, cause it gets to me very fast. smile

hot topic does I think. You could try Sally's beauty supplies. They at least have Manic Panic there, which is what I'm gonna use for my purple hair smile

Special Effects is pretty hard to find in stores, from what I've noticed. You can check at your local beauty supply stores, and you might get lucky.
I have never seen it at HT, only manic panic and another crappy brand.

I second using amphigory though, if you can't find it locally and need to resort to online sources. They are amazing, respond to your emails promptly, and if you are on the east coast then it should get to you quickly (I am on the west coast and I still got my order relatively fast~)

I know I got orange hair dye at Hot Topic. I thought it was Special Effects, but I could be wrong. *shrug* But you could try there.
Other than that, I've never had success finding unnatural colours in stores. I usually have to buy online.

I never understood why everyone likes Amphigory so much. I only use it as a color chart.
I'd recommend funkyshop.com, its cheaper.

Yep, that is your best bet. In my area a goth store and an urban/punk (it is both, they have urban type hats and shoes and punk type belts and tops, it is quite a combo) store sell it.
