The mystery of what gauge my helix is was solved! It's a 16ga.
biggrin What I wonder is why my piercer didn't bother to tell me this when I actually had it pierced. Then again, maybe I'm expecting too much, since he didn't even inform me of the healing time or anything either. (I didn't ask though, since I already knew because I did research on helix piercings before I got it so I knew what I was getting into).
Anyway
My new piercing want is an industrial.
biggrin I've wanted one since before I even got my helix done, but I was dead set on getting a helix that I didn't even consider getting it then. They look amazing, but I've heard so many horror stories about them never healing, and rejecting (I think that was the term...) that i'm sorta afraid of getting one. I've read that a lot of problems come from not having the right kind of ear and that a lot of piercers will pierce them anyway, so how do you know if you have the 'right' kind of ear if you can't trust your piercer to tell you?
Is there anything else anybody can tell me about industrials?
Last question (sorry I ask a lot of questions in this thread, lol): Do you think it would be at all possible to get the industrial in the same ear as my helix? I think it might get in the way of it, but I don't know much about the placement of industrials.
