Mmhm. Well. my dad pays child support on time, and I never see any of it. It just feel bad for my dad that my mom is kinda using him, but you know, whatever. Atleast he will be able to do less work once I get out of high school.

Well, child support isn't supposed to go to you directly.
It's for the parent who care for you the majority of the time, so they can provide you with food, clothing, a roof over your head, etc.
My dad knows that, but a few years ago he tried to convince me that he was putting child support into a bank account for me when I turned either 18 or 21.
Bullshit.
That could have been used for my braces, but we never got it until after my braces were removed.
My dad never got it to us in time.
At one point, he owed us nearly 10 grand in piled up child support dues.
The bank took his second house to pay for the child support, lawyer fees, unpaid property taxes, etc.

My Dad bailed.
Left my Mom to raise me and my sister by herself. And then when she met my Step-Dad that helped her a little better, but he had to pay for his two kids as well.

My step-sister is supposedly getting the child support money added into her bank accounts, only because she was smart and left her mothers place last year. Now she's living in Downtown Toronto with a friend. Not like she puts the support money to good use though *cough*pot&parties*cough*

That's why my mom went through Family Maintenance Enforcement.
Child support checks have to be sent to them to make sure they don't bounce.
And when the parent doesn't send child support, after a certain amount of months they can't renew their driver's license, passport, etc.
I think FME had some part of the bank taking the second house, but not totally sure on that one.

We went through the courts and everything. He was supposed to be sent to jail and everything was supposed to be sent to us. But... the Police/Gov. fails at life and he's living 3 hours north of here being a alcoholic a*****e he's always been, with his new alcoholic girlfriend who recently had her children taken away from her XDD

I almost forgot.
FME sent my mom a letter in the mail inquiring about when child support payments are to end, as mentioned on the court order.
So my mom checked, and the court order has no end date.
So my mom said "It would be nice if Mr. Holmes would continue paying child support while our daughter Hannah is in college, as it would be a tremendous help in putting her through school."
And FME sent us a letter back saying that child support would continue for 4 more years! xD
And the only options my dad has are to either continue paying for the next 4 years, or go to court to stop paying child support.
He may as well continue, it'll be cheaper than going to court. xDDDD

I think the time change is dumb. Yes, it does help some small business with electrical costs, but there is no trickle down effect, and it's not worth the confusion and aggravation it costs people. >_<
