Style.com (as well as men.style.com) has some good pics of various Japanese designers collections. As for everyday/street fashion there's Street Peeper, DROPSNAP, Style Arena, RID, Fashionsnap plus two lists of sites over at FRUiTS livejournal.

Some of my favorites:

Thanks so much~

I added the links and a few other things.

No problem. :] I've been searching through/looking for various fashion & style sites lately anyway.

Though with style- and men.style.com it's helpful to already know the designer you're looking for since they're mixed in with designers and labels from all over. For instance, with Julius and Undercover. Someone who doesn't know these are labels backed by Japanese people will pass right by them, lol.

Sometimes, it's nice to have a bit of color in your life.

Yeah, you really have to know what to look for.

Ah. heart I've fallen inlove with gyaru fashion recently. :} Oneegyaru, to be exact. I really love fashion~

If anyone's ever heard of the magazine PopSister, here's a link to scans from the June 2009 provided by sushi-cat.net for viewing pleasure:

Excuse me if anyone's already posted a link to this. ;x This magazine has beautiful pieces of clothing, and if you browse through the website, you'll find other magazines with various other fashions. :3

Question to all those experienced Decora guys and gals out there!

What is generally the best sort of cheap jewlery to make/buy to get a newbie started? I have the clothes, to some extent, but my necklaces and bracelets just aren't kyoot enough.

Haha, 'best cheap jewelry' is sort of an oxymoron, yes? whee

Aaa, but no...I don't think really anything works better than anything else. Just cute and colorful from anywhere. Wal-Mart, Target, Claire's, Icing, etc...they've all got some... 3nodding

Hi everyone~
I just got into Japanese fashion. Me and my friend are looking to put together lolita outfits... but... would it be 'acceptable' to wear them on Halloween? I know it's a fashion, not a costume, but I don't think either of us have the guts to wear them any other day of the year.

... Anyway, we need some help doing it right... I've gone to a bunch of lolita sites and I know the basic 'rules' but I'm still lost as to how we can put together a decent outfit without breaking the bank. :/ Any suggestions?

If you're really only going to wear lolita as a costume, and just for one time basically...I really wouldn't worry too much on breaking the bank or considering all the rules as much. Especially for Halloween, and not even a convention or anything. Just have fun with it.

Now if you were going to want to wear them elsewhere in the future, and truly as a fashion where others could critique you and such...THEN go for the best that you can possibly get.

Or if you feel spiffy, make your own! >w<

On the egl community on LJ, they have patterns that aren't hard to me. Mostly because they're things like using preexisting clothes as patterns. xD Me lazy.

Some people wear them as a costume. As long as you dont act like it is only worn as a costume, then it is okay. I would, try to get a lolita like costume, or find pieces that look liek they can be lolita and buy or make accessories.

It isnt worth it to buy a proper costume. Unless you get it from bodyline, it will be quite expensive for 1 day.

I cannot understand for the life of me how all these idiots rationalize their actions. How do all these idiot 14/15 year olds convince themselves that unprotected sex is okay?
And, to top it off, they are the people who don't believe in abortions..

But the cheap things at Bodyline LOOK like costumes. xD

So tis win-win?
