Yes, but there are fat Japanese people, however small a minority they are. :'D There is still hope. But not a lot.

Yea. Even so, they usually don't get cute clothing.
But there's always the buy the largest size then when I get back to America lose the weight.
>-O But it's convenient to know what it looks like on you before buying it.
Dx And Japanese clothing isn't cheap.

I swear to god the Size 2 Jeans there are like a Size 0 in the United States.

slowly changing my wardrobe as well..i like to try different things such as gothic and sweet lolita, visual kei, and decora...i guess i'm going to let my mind wander as i make the gradual changes heart
i actually love japanese trendies i heart it!
<3 I've semi-recently become fascinated with Japanese fashion

I like the idea behind Wamono and Angura Kei, mixing traditional Japanese and Western influences :] Kagrra :3
And of course I like Visual and Oshare Kei... although I like the more casual look rather than the major costumes, like Miyavi (sometimes), Plastic Tree, and girugamesh.

I think I'm in love with Putomayo. D:

I'd like to experiment with wearing skirts and short sleeve hoodies. I've been trying to get away from wearing too much black, mostly because it makes me look even more paler than I already am and I have a white cat that gets his fur on everything. XD
I love Japanese street fashion, I'm so glad there's a thread about it.

I love Decora and Gyaru styles as well as sweet lolita. I've become completely addicted to reading Japanese fashion mags recently, there are some great scan sites out there. heart
i like decora and oshare kei lol
these are japanese subcultures,
not fashion.
and the 80s pop one is called fairy-kei,
not spank,
spank is a brand.
80s
these are japanese subcultures

While this is true, they are apart of Japanese fashion overall. Though it is kind of disappointing that you have go to different places and talk to different people to get all aspects of Japanese fashion, not just the subcultures.

Japanese fashion in general is welcomed to be discussed here even if I only included the fashion of the subcultures on the front page.

I'm just not as familiar with the general fashions since I don't live in Japan or keep up with that sort of thing. If anyone can point me in the right directions I'd be happy to add some more information.
