I l really like the gyaru style. it's feminine and sweet and girly. I adore the style. My cousin is actually Japanese/Nigerian and she loves the style and wants to model. She has alot of their magazines and she's only 11years.

^^ Hi all. Am new to this part of the LD. I have ventured in here once before but didn't see this thread. Now that I have, I am happy and have sub'd it for reference sakes.

I'm Katie and I am 16. I have been to 2 conventions in my life so far, and one of them I dressed in Lolita for the very first time. Gothic to be exact. My next convention is in June and I am going for a more casual look because I find that convention building are under air conditioned and it gets really hot under those clothes. And now, to lurk. xD

aw. i find asian fashion really interesting and cool, although never in a million years would i dream of trying to pull it off straight up. classic lolita, hime lolita, and shiro lolita are so cute. i kind of like hime gyaru too.
although, i have to admit, tsuyome manba really freaks me out D: it's like blackface or something . . .

I agree about the Manba, the photo that was shown for the description might have just been scary but it is a bit extreme for my taste.

^^ Hmm, I wonder what interests people into trying that kind of style.

I hate manba, man. I'm a fan of extremes and all, but can you at least do it decently? It's especially bad when someone finds of a picture of it and then proceeds to make a thread named "DO THEY LUK GUUUD?!!" and have everyone bash on gyaru based on that one awful picture. D:

Fashion's pretty objective, so I don't much let that bother me any more. I think certain styles look hideous and I'm sure the followers of those styles think I look hideous in return, so I just agree to disagree and keep my nose out of their styles. <_<;

Ganguro is not dead!(sadly, I hated it very much)
My Mom's boyfriend(Cory)Went too Japan last year and while walking around aimlessly,he saw one!!
