My boyfriend didn't give me anything for new years =o
but he's japanese not chinese so i think it's culturally different.

he got me a small gift for valentines day. . .so im going to get him something nice for white day if i can make myself stop spending my money the second i get it D:

Oh, well traditionally only children get monetary gifts for Japanese new year's, and in Chinese culture it's children/the unmarried from their parents/older people. :B

Well it's not the Chinese new year, it's the Lunar one. >.< And the Japanese traditionally celebrated the Lunar New Year too ... D: But then they changed it, heh.

Well they changed it in the 1800s so I imagine none of you living relatives have celebrated the Lunar New Year. :B
