He's a center gai. I read a news article about them years ago (This image is from that article)

gai as in gaijin? :U
No, gai as in katakana 'guy'.

Ahh. o_o I didn't think of that.

Katakana is so cute, haha. Panku has to be my favourite because it sounds adorable and is fun to say...
(Panku = punk, BTW)

Just thought you might want to know that fruits isn't a fashion, whatsoever.
It's just a book, which features many fashions such as decorer (the many layers & colours one), lolita, punk, cyber, etc etc.

Should you list "traditional"? Traditional Japanese kimono and such... It's a fashion that originated in Japan. sweatdrop

    Yeah, I think I will.

I'm up for adding any sub-categories. As long as I have a sample image and a sentence for description, I'm good with adding it to the list!
How to keep it all organized is the only issue.

I'd buy FRUiTs, but it's so expensive. ;o; My teacher once let me borrow one of her books, and it was so awesome.

I do think you should post all pictures in linkform though ._.'

I concur - it's not easy on us laptop, dial-up users.

yay sentaa~ heart

They are called sentaa gai because they usually have around center street in shibuya. center street in japanese is 'sentaa gai'. The name is a parody on that.
They are basically the male version of manba:

I'd keep them organized this way
style (pronounce) : description
--[IMAGE] sub style (pronounce) : description

--[IMAGE] sub style (pronounce) : description

[IMAGE] style (pronounce) : description
--[IMAGE] sub style (pronounce) : description

and so on

And yes, FRUiTS is a magazine for Japanese street fashion, not a fashion style, itself.

Wow I'm back @.@;;

nice pics everyone! 3nodding

I like himegal, it's a constant struggle to finance the style.

I know FRUiTs isn't a style, but I like to use it as a term when refering to all the different types of Japanese street style....

Lolita would be a main heading. Would gyaru be a main heading for ganguro, yamanba and the like? Or would it be more kogal...?
