So I kind of "discovered" that I copy male musicians.
When I was listening to Green Day, I wore Converse shoes and Ramones shirts.
When I was listening to Placebo, I wore classy button-up shirts and started wearing makeup.
When I was listening to AFI, I wore glittery things and Kid Robot hoodies.
Now that I listen to an awful lot of indie bands, I started wearing plaid shirts and skinny jeans.
I don't even do it consciously! D:
I still wear all those things, depending on what I feel like listening that day. Weird.

So, tell me:
Which musicians, male or female, do you like the style of?
(Whether or not you'd wear those things. Some stuff definitely look better on other people.)

I know what you mean about the music affecting your clothing style. I did that when I listened to Evanescence. redface

Now I've mellowed out and my music choices have been pretty diverse. I just dress however I like and let the music just sink into my ears. :]

As for styles of artists, I really liked the Hannah Montana outfits. They always matched and looked great on Miley Cyrus.
And for other artists, The Alkaline Trio always wore really dressy clothing, but with a dark twist to it. I think it looks good for their style of music. They can pull it off. x]

I personally emulate early Pearl Jam and Nirvana I would say.

I don't pay enough attention to what musicians wear anymore to say I like any of their styles.
In fact, a lot of musicians I see (via television) seem far too contrived.

I do the opposite and fit my music to how I dress...
This is likely because pretty much every single band has stylists and record companies and such that make them become a steriotype to fit their music. If they weren't like that already.

I dont dress it most of the time but Ive loved the rivithead/industrial look ever since I found out what they were, the music and the fashion.

I've never really payed attention to the way some musicians dress nor am I very influenced by it.
However, my style is quite influenced by music itself.
If I had to decide, I suppose I would have to say The Kills. Something along that style path. Most probably soley because have a huge ******** crush on Jamie Hince.

Freddie Mercury had it goin' on. So did Cyndi Lauper. And I like Gwen Stefani.

Karen O, Jimmy Urine, and Justin Pierre. If I had the guts to wear something like this and the right reason [such as a concert] then I'd wear a combination of all of these. I guess I dress more indie punk now.

Well for a female, I don't know to call her a musician or not, but she is known about in the scene.
& She goes by the name of Kat Von D.


As for males, I love Mr. Oli Skyes.

I think Peaches is fierce. I wouldn't wear her stage costumes in public, but overall she's just fierce as hell.
