I think they're cute, but a friend of mine from South Korea thinks it's silly how a lot of Americans think that Asian schoolgirl uniforms are cute.

They don't actually look like that, they look more like american school uniforms than one thinks. & I have never seen a sailor school uniform here in japan. (BTW I live in japan)

Well our public schools are certainly more lax on the dresscode. We don't have to wear skirts, but the girls there do. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Those uniforms are only cute on cute people or little kids. I wouldn't wear anything like that ever.
