It seems like more thought was put into those outfits than skinny jeans, character tee and birds nest hair.

In Sweden, we call that first guy fashioncore. I don't think it's any difference if Japanese youth dress in western styles, than western youth dress in Japanese styles.

What do you think of emo/scene becoming part of Japanese fashion?

I think it's a bit overdone where I live (US) and it's kind of disappointing to see it's slowly spreading to other countries (no offense to people who like this style though.)

They're doing it way cuter than other states. Here in romania / europe where i live, they look so pathethic. Emo/scene is horrible. But the asians do it nice.
