I need a new hairstyle. :/

My boyfriend and I were talking last night, and somehow, we got on the topic of getting funky hair. And now I suddenly want it and have the urge to get funky hair done. Which means that I'm looking for a neat new cut and funky colors.

This is where I need help, Gaia, since I don't know what I should do, that would actually have a chance of looking GOOD on me.

So far I was thinking of bright red/orange mixed with yellow (something like Cyndi Laupher did), or maybe even a red mixed with purple (a bit like Kurt Cobain or something). Or maybe red, purple, and yellow altogether, I don't know....

Anyways, here's a picture reference of what I look like now (except my hair's a bit shorter).

Do you mean an all over color? o.o Well I wouldn't do an all over color like those really unless it was Red but not a bright bright red.
If you wanted to do an all over color that has to do with like red or purple I'd say a darkish Blue or like an icey blue! xD But if you are talking about just highlights well...Well I've done blue but it turned out green so if you do blue make sure you've bleached it good and got the right color. ^^;

Yes, I meant overall color. I have tried blue hair a couple summers ago, but my hairdresser/aunt had failed to tell me that I needed to bleach my hair before coloring-the yellow in my hair had turned the blue to green after a wash. :/ So now I'm afraid to do blue. xP

I've been told that with my skin tone, that I'd look best with red hair. So...that's why I'm choosing a redish color. Maybe not a BRIGHT BRIGHT red...maybe more of a softer, copper color??

I would do a red. A copperish red might be nice. You could also do a brown with a red tint. I did that and it looked good. If you wanted to do red and orange you could do all red and then highlight orange or a coon tail.

Ugh...I feel like I have to double up on my hair if I went with a blue again. x_x I feel like there's too much yellow, no matter what!!! I feel your pain, girl.

One of my friends told me to try a copper red almost a full year ago. But what would I highlight a copper-color with? Yellow? Red lowlights??

And out of curiousity, what's a coontail?

Oooh, I like that hair-cut A LOT. I'd kill to have some full on bangs, but I can't, unfortunately. Yeah, my hair is thin and can't hold a single curl, but I also have a wicked ugly cowlick in the middle of my forehead. I'm more of a low-maintainence chick, and I'm not the best hairstylist, so I wouldn't know how, or even keep up with hiding my cowlick. D:

Flat bangs? {Ones dat go flat across ur forehead}, I don't think you'll look so bad with dat. And maybe you could even have nice long curly side bangs. Add redish highlights and you look spicy.
