Geek Tattoos

Hey! I want to hear stories and see pictures of people's tattoos that have a geeky meaning. Like me, for example. I have a tattoo of Seifer's cross from the video game Final Fantasy VIII. You?

You see, I have a blog called The Geek Girl Gamut. I think a post about Geek Tattoos would be awesome and I've decided to do that for my next post on Monday, October 12th. I would love to hear some stories and see some pics I might be able to use for that blog entry. Anyone have any?

Well, I wanted to get the Umbrella Corp. logo on my elbow...but I'm trying to do a mural style sleeve, so I'm not sure if it would work anymore

I'm on the fence on whether or not to get Hell Girl herself on the underside of my arm, since that's still plain. I might get the flame symbol on the outside of my wrist way on the bottom, but that's still in the works.

I think actually getting Hell Girl on there would be awesome. The Umbrella Logo would so awesome too. Maybe it could go somewhere else...

I'm more of a Silent Hill fan, but I don't think my husband would appreciate a big Pyramid Head on my back. wink

I'd have to find an image of her I really like. I don't want it to be blatantly obvious that it's Hell Girl, I want it a little more subtle than that.

I think reworking this go with the rest of the style would look neat...because of the water and such



or this.



Basically, I think keeping here in the water would be cool and flow nicely all the way around. Maybe do some on the Sakura petals from the tree falling down? The lotus' would be a nice touch also.

I thought of that too. It would fit well if she were soaking in the water.

I know she's only supposed to be about 13, but I'd make her naked. I think it's a bit more striking that way. sweatdrop

Eh it's anime...naked lolis are a norm XD and a lot of people won't even realize.

I need something on the bottom because if you look, the lantern side is blue water and the flower side is purple. I need something to cover the seam of where the water would meet. I like the anime version of her better than the manga. The anime she's more creepy, the manga she's more angry-looking.

You could easliy do a small kinda oval shaped piece of brown/green shore line that goes over your elbow, then bring the water down the rest of the way.

I was thinking something like this too.

I also thought of shoreline, but not quite sure if I want to "end" it like that, you know? If I did I wanted to put those little river rock stacks that Japanese kids do on rivershores. From my reading, and from the manga, they're supposed to act as little shrines for kids who've drowned in the river.

You could always take in more than one idea to a good tattoo artist and see what they come up with.

Creepy definitely trumps angry. And you can't go wrong with naked. rofl
