hey by the way, I just found out this online shop...I'm about to buy one of the complete sets :3 it's so cute! I love their clothes ^^ But they are in japan so it cost a higher price than usual. For example I'm going to command a 40$ setand in total it'll cost me 60.

So just if you don't mind paying more and you are desperate like me, here's the site xDD

http://www.bodyline.co.jp/

Oh wait! Are you a girl? Because the clothes are only for girl xp
Please don't ever buy bodyline.
Ever.

I'm pretty sure I saw a lolita-esque shop in Dragon City center on Spadina. I think. D:,

Nani? Why not??

Well, there's really Thrift shops wherever you go, even if that's your best bet. I'll probably try out Pacific Mall though, since it's been suggested a lot. Scarborough has a mainly Asian population, or at least a really large one, so I guess that makes it all the more likely to find Japanese shops there.

What's wrong with Bodyline? Just want to know. Obviously their not trustworthy from your reactions, but I've never bought from them before.

Baby is opening an English site soon, and they started shipping overseas a few monthes ago, Akiko. heart If you want to order online they're probably the best, at least from what I've heard...

thankies for the info whee
woah everyone seem to dislike bodyline xD What's wrong? Cause tomorrow I'm buying something and....I really don't see anything wrong. I checked all the information, my measurements are right so I don't see what problem there is... xD

I know this may not be helpful, but in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada there is a store called Westmend that sells what you are looking for. They also have an online store. Just go to www.westmend.com I'm not sure if they ship or anything the site is in a different language. ^^;

What's a pacific malllll :O Is it like one of those crappy small mall you have in a small crappy town like where I live? Or like those uber huge malls with like one hundred stairs? whee

Hugeass asian mall. So big that it has street names in it. If you ever get lost just call the person and tell them what street you're on =) I believe it's open year round (except for one day. Can't seem to remember what)
thanks for the site smile I just had an idea yesterday, I'm going to check for that store in montreal. Or maybe if there's another store like that...if I really don't find any I'll command my dress :3

and thanks for the pacific mall too XD I know a huge huge huge huge mall and I'm not sure if it's asian, maybe it is....last time I,ve been there I was like 10.

EDIT: I tried to site and it doesn't load sad it says that they can't find the page...
pacific mall has a lot of lolita stores. you could also try kensington market & china town? they're in downtown just to let you know.

The fabric they use is cheap; their designs are predictable and cliched. And every seam is infused with tragedy and failure.

gonk

the only lolita stores i know of outside of japan are mfashion in the Netherlands, black alice in Singapore, and btssb in paris. just order it online, its not that hard.

I know you won't find any speciality Lolita clothes. gonk
I just heard somewhere about some pseudo-lolita fashions availible in Toronto on another website. I can't find the thread again, since it was a few monthes ago.

true. I managed to find a potential lolita dress from Fairweathers one time in the sales rack~ There was a whole bunch so I think it wasn't to popular with the regular crowd.

Why is this back from the dead?

Bodyline actually isn't that bad now. They still have shitty lace monsters, but they've got some decent stuff too.

unfunfunf. I know there is a Lolita thread, but I'm specifically targetting to within or from my dear Maple Syrup land. heart

So, I'm moving to Toronto from Nova Scotia, and I'm quite excited for the culture shock. Where I stand, there's absolutely nothing to do. However, since I've always been interested in Lolita, I think now would be a good time to look into it. I imagine with the wide variety of shops, there must be pseudo Lolita clothing somewhere, right? To me honest, as much as I like Lolita, I've never seen any real merch for it (well, apart from Goth Loli Hello Kitty tape, but that doesn't help me much sweatdrop ) and wouldn't know where to start. The town I live in is very small, and there aren't any out-of-the-ordinary retailers around, just the essentials. I know many westerners make their clothes by hand, but I heard of few stores who carry items like dresses, jumpers, headbands and such. Nothing like Baby, mind you, but related items none the less. BJD's like Volks apply to my search as well.

Does anyone know where I might find something like this within Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area?

The Pacific Mall is teh s**t.
