unfunfunf. I know there is a Lolita thread, but I'm specifically targetting to within or from my dear Maple Syrup land. heart

So, I'm moving to Toronto from Nova Scotia, and I'm quite excited for the culture shock. Where I stand, there's absolutely nothing to do. However, since I've always been interested in Lolita, I think now would be a good time to look into it. I imagine with the wide variety of shops, there must be pseudo Lolita clothing somewhere, right? To me honest, as much as I like Lolita, I've never seen any real merch for it (well, apart from Goth Loli Hello Kitty tape, but that doesn't help me much sweatdrop ) and wouldn't know where to start. The town I live in is very small, and there aren't any out-of-the-ordinary retailers around, just the essentials. I know many westerners make their clothes by hand, but I heard of few stores who carry items like dresses, jumpers, headbands and such. Nothing like Baby, mind you, but related items none the less. BJD's like Volks apply to my search as well.

Does anyone know where I might find something like this within Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area?

I think Pacific Mall has some lolita-ish shops.

For most stuff, though, it's better to order it online. In the Starlight and Anna's House are both good for "budget lolita". :3

And Just Like The Movies ...
I second that.
If you're able to get yourself to Chinatown (Queen Street East and Spadina might be the best area) There are tonssss of shops.
And since it's Chinatown, you might luck out and find a store with Lolita type things ^-^

You're best bet would either be the internet, or second-hand stores, where you can find things like skirts and incorporate them into a lolita outfit. You may be surprised with what you find.
