What fabric didja' get again?... in any case, I'll see if I can scrounge up any washing info on the LJ comm. :3

Good luck with your seamstress-ing. ;P We'll have to have a battle one day-- with the consent of our trainers, of course. xDD

@ Crayon: Ah, weelll...my advice is to use a gentle wash cycle on cold, and to let it air-dry if possible. I also found general instructions for washing a fleece garment 0nlin3:

Step 1
Turn your fleece item inside-out to prevent piling.
Step 2
Machine wash the fleece in cold water on a gentle cycle with like colors. Use mild laundry detergent to keep the nape smooth.
Step 3
Machine-dry your fleece at a low temperature, or hang it up to air-dry.
Step 4
Remember that fleece should never be ironed, steamed, pressed or dry cleaned. These things may cause melting. Also, avoid using bleach or fabric softener unless specified otherwise on the manufacturer's care label.

* Washing fleece in warm water will cause premature piling.
* Avoid washing fleece with towels or other items that produce lint. Fleece picks up lint easily and it is difficult to remove.
* To avoid any detergent residue, dissolve your detergent in the water before adding your fleece garment or use a liquid detergent.
* There are special cleaners made for fleece, such as Nikwax Tech Wash.
* It's worth repeating: No bleach, fabric softener, ironing or dry cleaning.

@ O H pikachew:
That's cool- lotsa' folks are all about just wearin' it at home/ for the hols. :3 As long as you're a fan. ;P

@ blue_jirk: ninja ... heart 4laugh Welcome! :3

@ CSV: I didn't find any additional info about how to wash kigurumi except more warnings to use gentle, cool cycles in both the washer and dryer. AND, if you have a kigurumi with a heavily stuffed section (dragon's nose+tail, dooly's nose, etc.) that handwashing is a MUST, as machine washing+drying could warp the faces. o: T-T

@ Doodlepaws: No? That's a shame- they're so adorable in person! x3

@ xCubia: It's not public yet becaus eup until this point, there've been no forums or anything inside. Actually, I just, this hour, recieved all of the 'blueprints' for the guild, so to speak. I had been working on it with Love is Lemon, but accidentally deleted all of our correspondence which contained what I'd worked on for the guild. crying

Suffice to say, I'll be setting an opening date for the guild soon. 3nodding No hard feelings- the thread still loves you. ;P *pat pats* I'll make sure to post the guild progress here in the thread.

@ recentlyExpired:I'm just gonna' link to two pages first :] :

Okay, so first is a question about where to find kigu in Tokyo. Click!

Second, a post about Sleeper Shop, a famous pajama store that has one of the absolute widest selections of kigurumi. heart Some nice person provided a bit of info (including its address). (And don't mind the oddly barren-looking place- the photos were taken a few years ago, I believe.) Click!
*

Another store is Don Quixote (referred to as 'Donki', often), a store with everything from food, to drugstore items, to clothing. (kigurumi!) There are over 123 in operation. The following quote was from somebody who went to Japan and a lot of Don Quixotes too:

"I know there is one in Hirakata, Osaka (it's smaller) and in Shinsaibashi (as far as ones in your area are concerned- but I'm sure there are more). I saw them all over Japan (I went in it everytime I saw it ^_^)- I imagine you won't have any trouble."

The website lists locations by city here. There are stores in Tokyo and Kyoto as well as many other places.
*

AND, the website where I bought my pikachu kigurumi, Marron & Kuriya, lists an address for its actual shop: 760-0029 香川県高松市丸亀町7-5 (760-0029 Kagawa prefecture Takamatsu Ichimaru turtle town 7-5)....but it's not mainland. DDD:.

There are more, but I accidentally deleted my entire inbox, icluding PM's about store locations. :/
Finally in the warehouse! I just requested shipping. =D heart heart heart xd xd xd
