Welcome to Gaia! ::

Any rappers in this forum? Just curious.
If you do, what equipment are you using?

I have an at4040, Focusrite 2i2, and am using Adobe Audition for editing software.

Also, discuss favorite artists.
I myself prefer underground artists such as Brother Ali, Common Market, Grieves, Knowmads, Mr. J. Medeiros, RA The Rugged Man, Square One, Wax .etc

Also favorite instrumentals (beats) ?
Mine would probably be the instrumentals for "Nas Is Like" or "A Million and One Questions" although there are millions I love that just aren't as known.
I rap sometimes. I just use FL Studio and a shitty Rockband mic.

Oh, and my favorite instrumental at the moment is Death by Raja.
I thought about buying a mic this summer and trying it out. I've written stuff for awhile, but I don't think my voice would be good without a lot of practice. I tried making a few beats, but I only have the FL studio demo and I'm still learning

My favorite artists are the more popular artists like DMX, 2Pac, Nas, Tyler, Hopsin, old Em, Jay-Z, etc

Favorite instrumental is....uh.....kinda hard to choose. Probably Still D.R.E. I love the piano clanging

I started out with a usb mic. Blue Yeti. It was about 100$ and audacity is free to record with.
Yeah I love pianos and violins in instrumentals. You should check out Dead Man Walking by Knowmads. Love that instrumental.

haha, should upgrade! I started out with my ipod's microphone at the very beginning.
Yeah man, I rap sometimes. I'm trying to figure some things out right now, I put up a few of them the other day. If you're looking to do some work, let me know? I'd be more than happy to colab or even listen to some of your work.

I use Mixcraft 5 for my recording, sometimes Reason for beatmaking and FL Studios for beats too.

Here's some recent songs.

I second that. Good stuff.
I rap a little, done a few cuts. My friends usually handle the technical stuff, but it's pretty ghetto. Good producers though. Mainly done Reggaeton, I've only gotten to do Rap a couple times, and nothing ever recorded.

I like me everything really, At least in the sense that I study everyone lyrically. Props to Eyedea, Eminem, Atmosphere, JMT, Sage Francis, Rakim, Biggie, Mos Def, Sweatshop Union, MURS, Cunninglynguists, OuterSpace, Immortal Technique.

I feel more for the underground aspects, but the mainstream approach to lyricism is so much easier. So I have fun with both really.

I love me some atmosphere and cunninlyguists,

Definately agree with that last line.
