I think I've found my niche in hip-hop stylings recently. I really like what I've been making lately, kinda has a psyched out Dilla feel, I dunno. Anyway, give it a listen and let me know what you think. And no unfortunately the beat is not up for grabs!

I could have sworn that I heard something distinctly familiar sampled within that distortion midway. That is not a criticism but just something I noticed. What you have done here is really good imo. I would not quite say there's a Dilla feel in terms of the product itself but more-so a Madlib touch of authenticity about it, like it was two steps away from being ready for an Adult Swim / Toonami commercial, providing that it could pick up on the tempo a bit.

With that said, this is good work done. I only hope that if it is used that it is done justice.

No sampling involved, all synth work. But thanks man, I appreciate the comments. I'm going to work on it some more tonight.

[edit] Although I will say the first two or three chords of the hook remind me of Daylight by Aesop Rock.

i play all of them O_O like that stuttering effect sounds like the the gates before the boss in megaman x & @ 00:56 he shot his charged buster!

but if i was behind the keys id change the composition of the synth in the hook BUT HEY THATS WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT wink

What program did you use for this? It's got that Jay Dee feel to it for sure, with a hint of the new electro synth spin that people are putting on their songs now. I dig it! Keep up the work, I wanna see more!
