I enjoyed it and I hate all of J. Cole's other work. To each their own I guess.

You all are buggin' hardcore. The Album is pretty mellow dope, reminded me of Drake's first album seeing as all the beats were pretty chill slow. That line he said about the white industry in Hip-Hop in "Fire Squad" is what really got people mad and ruffled up trying to push his hype down but it was very true what he said. I think people were too busy expecting some Kendrick Lamar crazy beat type mess but still, Forest Hills Drive was something J.Cole totally would do. Especially if you've been following him since the Come Up Mixtape or The Warm up Mixtapes.... Meanwhile the simple people be bumpin' Young Thug and them, wondering when's the first week's sales are gonna be like to "determine" if it's a good album or not like this is 2006 again.

I kind of think this as an Appreciation Album with some side thoughts he always wanna spill out. I mean he literally shouted out Everyone at the end of the Album for a reason lmao.. Mad Homage to people through out the songs if you're old enough to catch the references.

Favorite songs off that Forest Hills Drive was in my order:

J.Cole - No Role Modelz (True Anti-Simp Music)
J.Cole - January 28th
J.Cole - Love Yourz (Really peep It what he's saying)
J.Cole - 03' Adolescence (Reality)
J.Cole - A Tale of 2 Cities
J.Cole - Fire Squad
J.Cole - Apparently (Obvious Reasons)

i enjoyed this album Wet Dreamz & Fire Squad are my favorite

Cute Friend

i love it
especially in fire squad when he raps about white privilege
Eh. I thought it was pretty good to be honest specifically in Fire Squad when he discussed how white rappers are held higher than black rappers simply because they're white people breaking out into a black dominated field. You can't complain that the songs are really boring...c'mon it's J.Cole. That's like his trademark at this point to make slow rap songs.

JCole isn't habitually boring.

All I hear is Fire Squad. I just feel like in that and every other song he's not saying anything he or anyone hasn't spat before some originality could save a boring album. I was looking for entertainment not some audio book re-education. It seems rushed like he threw some old s**t laying around together and made an album, definitely not his best by far.

He wasnt trying to turn up, he is trying to get a point across

Conservative Voter

I couldn't get into it. I felt like he was trying to make it out like he was prophetic and he really isn't.

And this line just irritated me:

Like the great Rakim, when I make my notes
You niggas might be L or you might be Kane
Or you might be Slick Rick with 19 chains
Or you might be Drizzy Drake or Kendrick Lamar
But check your birth date *****, you ain't the God

He's no where near Rakim or Kendrick's level. And if by L he's talking about Big L, he's delusional.
