I don't know how he did things on Loki (I played on a REAL server - Chaos!), but uhhh... the point of the "free" server is to get people to buy Kafra Shop items.

ah see thats where your'e wrong, The real servers did loose some players initially with the installation of valk, but that has stopped. I've seen many new players here in the last few weeks. We had a stroke, but we are recovering quickly

How can you spend that much on a siege on the new server? I don't even understand, that server's free right? What Kafra items is he buying for WoE, the stat food or something??

It's not one-sided in WoE, and even if it were it wouldn't be because one Wizard is willing to pop Assumptio Scrolls and stat foods.

And I'll believe it when you have proof; you and I both know that iRO has been slowly, but surely, dying since WoW came out. Now that Valkyrie is open, no new players will be going to the premium servers because there's no reason to pay a monthly fee.

People in general prefer to see something tangible for the money they spend, which is why "free" games with cash shops work so well... and why Valkyrie is going to overshadow the "premium" servers very quickly.

I played iRO for a very long time several years ago but quit due to being severely scammed. I dunno if I'll stay or enjoy it, but hopefully it's good!

I can provide as much evidence as you can saying Valkery server is gaining players. I have seen a lot of noobies around, I don't really care if you believe me or not. As for WoW lowering the population, I have played this game for 4 years, and around the 2 year mark is when wow popped up, there was a bigger population in ro after wow happened. I never saw the slightest decrease in population. Anywho, I couldn't handle valkery. the only way to do well is to pay for more than I already am through the kafra shop. and Im not willing to do that

For the life of me, I can't understand what you're talking about with the whole paying aspect. The Kafra shop stuff isn't necessary by any means, and is really only good if you're the max level or need something quick with a card slot.

I'm going to slow down on playing now and pace it out a bit. I'd like to be an Assassin by the time Christmas comes around though.

Edit: 34/25 with 19k Zeny. Not amazing, but I think I'm doing well enough for myself. :3

I'm enjoying it so far but it kind of sucks being so used to being a high level with gear then being a newbie with nothing. It took me nearly an hour to even get thief because of the bats. =[
