I'm thinking about starting RO but i need to know... do i have to pay a fee or something like that?

The game has two free-to-play servers, Yggdrasil and Valkyrie, and one pay-to-play server, Ymir (though I think you get one free character slot for Ymir). All three servers have cash shops and have the option for a one-time payment to receive VIP status, which gives you a number of bonuses in the game.

Yeah, it's a nice game, but it's pretty much dead. The official servers are choke-full of bots and the free version has reduced rates.

RO is also a grindmill, so watch out for that too.

I wouldn't really suggest or recommend you to play iRO... It takes way too long to lvl and ppl over there are pretty much jerks who teases newbies. (At least i was one of them.) I would probably look at the Private servers of RO such as "EssenceRo". But make sure you read the "How to play RO guide." Because newbies in mmorpg's tend to get ignored, unless someone is generous enough to help. Which I can be that person, but i'm doing Finals atm. lol.

There are F2P servers but they have reduced rates. The community is a lot larger than the premium ones, though.
