Now that we know trans classes can go 3rd class, I have a reason to level my sniper again. I'm looking forward to ranger, but I wonder how the wolf will function. Will it replace the falcon and will auto-Blitz still work?

Another class that interests me is "generic" (did they mean "genetic" or "genetic engineer"?) as I have no desire to trans into a biochemist.

No offense to the people complaining that transcendents can turn 3d class, but realy, it's decided, and if you don't like it, just transcend, they're more powerful because they put more work into their character, sure, you'll suck in PvP against them, but that's no different now, a 99 Assassin will fall in comparison to a 99 Assassin Cross.
I like the idea of giving you the option to transcent OR go 3d class, but only if they had implemented both elements at the same time, it's now only fair to people who have transed to let them become 3d class as well.

To be honest, I think it's a shitty move by Gravity.
I know many, many people who stayed regular 99 so they could change to 3rd classes, but now they don't even feel like playing because Gravity got money hungry and decided to let Transcendent characters go to 3rd class, and giving them extra skills and whatnot. Sure, the people who transed do more work than the regular 99's but do you know HOW MUCH exp it is to get to 99 trans? It's an ungodly amount, and it even pisses off the hardest of hardcore grinders. Now, the players who don't want to grind for years and years are getting the short end of the stick and will be practically useless unless they went 99 trans.

Let's see, a person who pays to play for a year or so and hits 99. This person is ready to go 3rd class, and gets all excited, then to find out that unless he goes 99 Trans, he will be about as useful as a job 40-changed priest. -_-

I'm just hoping that the warlocks are as pretty or prettier than high wizzies rather than being less extravagant, and also that if you can go 3rd class from 99 trans that you can keep your skills you got as a trans. I can't think of any reason in particular why they wouldn't let us.

It depends on the character, really.

For example, if archbishops are designed more as exorcists...one could make arguments against needing to trans, really. Granted, a** and Med are badass, but on the other hand they're not AS useful as on a FS. (They're certainly useful for FSing, but yeah.

Likewise: Dark chasers? LOL FD. Okay, so Preserve is kind of nice, but even still.

LKs? If rune knights focus mostly on swords, then lol @ spear skills. Granted, Dynamo annoys the s**t out of dodging classes, but yeah.

You could make arguments so on and so forth. If warlocks' spells don't stack with Amp, then that's out - the only other thing that HWs really have going for them is Ganbantien. Champs don't really get anything special other than...uh...RPS and Zen, and a bit of an SP boost which may not even matter. (Monks can get Snap; they just have to gimp their Asura a bit.) And I could probably go on and on about it.

And holy s**t, what if guillotine crosses get a skill that's superior to EDP, even?

Basically, if the expectations for third jobs are different enough from transcendence, then it may nullify the entire "OMG TRANS R SOO KAWAII."

4th classes would be utter FAIL. Not only would they run out of original names, it would take even longer to get to it. And we definitely don't need more than 1 Pope. gonk

Actually, I'm looking forward to Warlocks and Generics (horrible name but the fact that Creators/Biochemists have a 3rd job intrigues me). Warlocks finally get poison spells and better ghost spells. Maybe I could name one as a "necromancer," hehe. Maybe Generics can also finally have the Potion Synthesis skill (potion A + potion B = potion C) which was also originally intended for the transcendent classes. I also have to wonder about homunculi though.

Edit: Also, if they're gonna make these 3rd job classes, maybe they should nerf the transcendent classes a bit too. I smell imba in the air.
