LOL

Well, there's like. No information on any of them yet. So I'd wait to see if ranger is actually worth 99ing my sniper. I been working on another archer for one. Just because I like the art. (If ranger is worth it it'll turn her hunter. if not I'm happy with a super archer.)

Well, if the 3rd classes were being permitted to go to 150, like they were planning [or it was mentioned in an update ages ago] and you DIDN'T let the trans classes follow suit, either by continuing to level normally [giving them some new quest skills?] or giving them the ability to jump to the third tier, would have been really lame.

Who'd play a Lord Knight when you can get a bonus 51 levels [if you play that long...] on a Rune Knight...
Sorry, I'm on P.Servers, and even an amazingly well equipped level 99 will fall to the hands of a half-wit level 150... Unless the 150 y'know, suffers a heart-attack while getting beaten to within an inch of death by a wild herd of hobo-monkeys in tuxedos as they simultaneously make him write six SATs [all in different languages, three of which no one uses anymore].

They should, however, give the regular non-transcendent classes a "bonus" so you're not emoing it for years on end. Nothing as good as the bonus skills and stats a trans class offers, but something in compensation...
They mentioned levels 100-150 won't work like levels 1-99 in terms of how you get stats. Unless I'm mistaken, which I could be, p.servers treat 100-150 as just more levels with basically the exact same system as 1-99?

Correct. But even ignoring the stat boosts, that's an increase in HP and SP. Are you saying that a level 30 character has relatively the same HP as a level 80 character?
No, but we don't really know what HP/SP modifiers they'll have. A Bard doesn't have the same HP as a Knight, even at the same level, wit the same gear/vit. For all we know, they'll give them a weird HP modifier to keep their HP levels reasonable.

Another thing that occurs to me is the fact that trans classes already get +30% HP/SP and a bunch of extra stat points. Even if they significantly scale down stat progression and HP/SP increases after level 99, trans -> 3rd will have a significant advantage over regular -> 3rd.

Although it would be funny if 3rd class skills turn out to be dramatically different from trans skills and don't allow you to reallocate stat/skill points upon changing. As a 99/70 trans, an you imagine finding out that your desired 3rd class needs a stat that you don't have to power a very potent ability? (like if Rangers needed Str or if Warlocks needed Agi) Or finding out that you need some utterly useless skill you don't have to fill a prereq? (like if Guillotine Crosses needed Venom Splasher or if Royal Guards needed Spear Quicken?) Neuralizers and 1/1 High Novice resets anyone? xD

I also wonder how trans only equipment (Valk gear, etc.) will work for 3rd classes. And then there's TT.

People who don't go to 99/70 trans before going 3rd class are going to be looked down upon even more than Mage or Aco that only goes job 40 if this system gets set in stone. *holds back further ranting*

dark chaser sounds nice.

they better make him focused on KNIFE/STR skills, Im tired of Strip dex bow stalkers, BADLY.

5 GAIAN YEARS.
Naruto and Bleach are boring Failures, dont argue, I have seen more anime than you.

Guillotine Cross and Rune Knight are jobs from the manga - in fact, the occupations of two of the main characters (and who two of the iRO servers are named after). In that context: They're rather amazing, imo.

That said: We have the class names. No info on the skills, really, or even the sprites. I kind of want to see what they have planned for some of the jobs that got shafted the first time around (sup stalkers).

I demand more offensive skills. I mean come on, even sages and priest have a battle focused area.. while we just get shafted =/!

Warlock is the occupation of one of the other main characters, though we don't have a server named after her (Fenris Fenrir). Rangers also appear in the comic, as a group of three idiotic girls who destroy an airship in some vague attempt to save it from gremlins, causing it to crash on it's way to Juno.

Personally I'm gunning for better combo skills for Shuras (or whatever the hell they call them in iRO.) The way things are now, Champ combos are pretty fun, but they aren't the least bit practical.

A full Champ combo uses 5 spirit spheres and over 70 SP, and has quite a long animation delay. Sure the damage is massive, but if you're going up against an enemy that has enough HP to survive your full combo, odds are that enemy had high Def as well... Which means it probably could have been taken out with Occult Impaction, which comes at a much lower SP cost and with considerably less danger to your person.

But yeah, like Phoenix said, we don't have any info yet. *continues happy magical imagination journey anyway*

Well, I was pointing that out as someone upthread said, "guillotine cross/rune knight/dark stalker are unimaginative names!"

And this reminds me - I left off at 4. I need to get more of it.

Depends on the enemy, I'd say. Even in WoE/PvP.

You have freaks like sinXes that have lots of HP even with s**t for vit, and even high vit people have variants in defense. (I mean, like...depending on what I'm doing, my armor defense varies anywhere from 46 to low 60's. And the high end is when I'm leveling, and the low end is when I'm in PvP.)

Wishfully thinking, I'd actually hope that they go in different directions as to what they've done with the trans classes. For example, assassin cross is really all about the daggers - Meteor Assault and Soul Destroyer are best with dual-wielding (even before ice picks). Enchant Deadly Poison is kind of a tossup (godly for everything), but the higher dex of dualwielders means they can actually make SB hurt. (Okay, crits get AKM. But - like - dualwielders also kind of get AKM, since yeah.) But it's been rumored that guillotine cross revives crit builds from the dead, and I believe that it's been officially stated that they focus on poison skills.

Going to champions - champs complain that they don't get anything because...like...everything is thrown into Glacier and Chain Crush. Okay, lol RPS - which has a 1s delay and pushback. And you can't regen SP while using it (sup fury).

If I had to put my money on Asura (the job, not the skill - and yes, I know it's "Shura," but that's just translation issues), they'd probably focus more on spirit skills.

Might not want to bother. He just randomly stopped the series. He left off on book 10 in... 2004 I believe? Seems like he has no intentions of finishing the series. Of course, the first ten books are wonderful, but they leave off in the middle of something, in the middle of an important fight actually. And yeah, four years without resolution, or him even mentioning continuing the series, kind of killed it for me. Maybe I'm just impatient.

Some info copied from a source from a source from a source from Gravity Festival.

Hunter --& Ranger

Colors are based upon green / army camouflage set, and added leather-like accessories. Military-like appearance with sporty look.
Added a Wolf summoning skill. Said wolf can be used as a mount to move. Strengthens existing bow skills. Improved single-target traps, as well as allowing usage of multiple traps to achieve new effects.

Blacksmith --& Mechanic

Based on image of a knowledgeable mechanic. Wears a one piece work outfit.
Added more weapons that can be created. Can now create auto-attacking turrets that were originally slated to be released with the transcendent jobs. Improved skills that make use of items rather than direct battle.

Wizard --& Warlock

The clothing is simple to allow easy movement. Focused on concept of a caster that is specialized in large-scale battles.
Added poison property spells. Strengthened ghost property spells. Super strong very large AoE damage spells that can be cast when multiple Warlocks are together. Can mix different types of spells to achieve new effects. Powerful and destructive class.
(Sounds like there's a new SinX pwner in town)

Assassin --& Guillotine Cross

Appears similar to Loki from original Ragnarok manga. Tights made of bone and extended claws of sharpened blades.
Like Assassins, a typical DPS type class. Based around on very strong damage, but when a skill fails, there will be backlash effect to the user. Many different types of new poisons will be added. Also, armed with many new skills using poisons.

Knight --& Rune Knight

Appears similar to Chaos and his armor set from original Ragnarok manga. Looks like a fast attacking type.
More offensive-oriented than Knights or Lord Knights. Reduced reliance on defensive gears. Skills will be more offensive-oriented. They will also use "Rune", a special type of Mana, to perform their skills.

Priest --& Archbishop

Males appear like those serious members of the clergy. Females look like the pope in Rachel temple.
Improved existing supportive skills. Many new anti-Demon/Undead skills will be added. However, selecting them will reduce effectiveness or lose out on some of the supportive skills. Added skills that allows the Arch Bishop to do physical melee damage.

-Gravity has no plans to update Ninja/Gunslinger/Star Gladiator/Soul Linker to new classes as of now. Someone mentioned that the Death Knight and Dark Collector data might be planned for these classes later.
