Updating the GAIA FAQ, we need your feedback!

Actually, anything on "My account" is desperatly needed. Also, how to change Username/gender.

I've been on the site for at least 2 years, and I wanna change my mule's gender. The little box that was on the top of the "My account" page doesn't seem to exist anymore, it must've been taken out when they updated the site.

Kinda ironic that a reg is having to use newbie FAQs to find out how to do stuff! xD

ohkay....well i did'nt go on gaia for a while and i signed on a couple of weeks ago and i went to trade somthing to my friend and when i clicked trade, it has a little box saying

"Trading pass disabled at this time"

and when i go to send a present it says the same thing.

i can recieve presents but i cannot send or recieve trades. can someone please help me.

i really need to be able to trade and i hav'nt done anything to deserve to not be able to trade. not that i can recall at least. please help me

last week, I made a little mistake... I used the 25 gaia cash I had to buy a Null fragment... but I thought it was an evolving item :S is it possible to turn it back to the cash shop? cause it was a stupid error and I really wanted to buy something cool with my gaia cash -.-'

i was wondering if you could include how to change email setting in account setting
because my friend is giving me his gaia to create a new one but does not wish to create a new email
he wishes to use his same email

One thing that I know will definitely be needed for those who have joined recently and those who are veterans is the question:

"What is zOMG?"

A question that I have not had answered yet but I guarantee that other people will wonder as well.
I've got a few friends who have gone through the game near the end and they still don't know what the letters stand for so I have figured that this is one that is going to be asked by many of us for sure.

I think we don't just need a guide to reporting a hack but also some clarity about the system, for example:
* how long it takes to sort a report and get an account back
* a reiteration of the fact that if you turn the offsite link notice off then you can't help.
* how to look at trade history if they're on the account that got hacked.
* how to find an omni moderator who is actually online.
* a reminder to change thier password and possibly thier e-mail adress too
* also tell them that even if the person is saying "i'll never give your stuff back" that at the end of the day they are NOT a mod and cannot make the decision as to whether they'll give the things back or not. (I saw someone asking if there was any point reporting someone because they said they'd keep the things anyway)

Being fairly new.. I rely on the FAQ a Lot for finding the answers to questions about different things.

What I have found in my limited time here is that a lot of the forums have so many pages it's impossible to find the questions/answers you want unless it happens to be the current topic that's moving on the page quickly.

I would like to see a special section on Rally. All aspects from taking the driver's test, to painting the car, to how to drive / race, etc.

Also, a section on Zomg. I had a friend explain to me that I was suppose to talk to the people on the train to get anywhere.

Also, any info about Quests.

And Mules.. Some sites only let you have 1 account.. and here I see that people can have main accounts and lots of mules. So I would like to see someplace to check about the guidelines for more than one account. I see where people can trade gold / items to others/mules along with sending gifts. I would love to see something written as to what is acceptable.

I appreciate the FAQ as that is the first place I look when I have a question!

I read this on another forum but is true -what is happening with them. Since when I g o to the H&R Weasely shop to exchange mine I get the exchange screen but no information on how many credits i need to exchange. like I have bee told I need 50 bugs to produce one vial of ink when I exchange with moira.

One major thing I noticed is that in the Gaia Store, they mention that most of the clothing are made from 80-100% cotton, but don't mention if they've been preshrunk or not, or how much shrinkage to expect after the first wash.

I also noticed the Gnome Messenger Bag doesn't list what it's made of, or it's measurements.
I was planning to buy one, but I don't know if it's big/wide/deep enough for what I want to use it for.
Same goes for the Kokeshi Tote Bag.

I'm planning a massive splurge on Gaia Merchandise after Christmas, so knowing these things would make it ever so much easier xD

And maybe a guide on what constructed items can make. Flowers, Bugs, Inks, Paper, etc.

There should be a post informing people of the TCP/UDP ports that Gaiaonline uses because I have seen several posts asking for help on the subject, usually because there is a firewall set up by a third party (like an apartment manager for instance) and without knowing what port to allow access to there is no enjoying Gaia's games and some other things. Nobody has ever replied to these posts, even to say "sorry don't know". I looked at many other game sites and they have the ports listed right there in the FAQ or in Customer Service, or in Member Help etc... I know this will help a lot of gaians. Please respond?
