It may take some work, but you should consider creating mini-FAQs whenever a large change occurs, or if a new feature is released. For example, a FAQ for the Item Normalization would have helped. Known errors/glitches could have been listed, and then information on whom to contact with other issues would have really been great. Mini-FAQs would be great to have along with the release of new games too.

Also, it would be helpful if FAQ links were linked within the feature that the FAQ is answering: for example, a Marketplace FAQ would be linked on the main page of the Marketplace, a link to a Signature FAQ would be listed on the Signature page, etc...

We definitely need FAQs/reference links to:
- how to prevent from being hacked
- what to do after you've been hacked or scammed
- Gaia's definition of 'hacking' vs 'scamming'
- how to tell who is Gaia Staff/what each type of Mod does (or at least a reference to the information)
- how to contact a Moderator

- how Evolving Items work/ the differences between Generations
- how Active Items work

- how to change your form (especially changing to/from Vampire)

- how to make a Signature
- how to make a Profile/where to get a custom profile
- how BB Code works

- what to do if you have an issue with Gaia Cash/"real money" payments (ex, for buying MCs or Gaia Store items)

- definition of glitches: what is and isn't allowed, explain that asking how to exploit glitches (even harmless ones) isn't allowed, nor is telling how to exploit glitches allowed.

- what to do if you have Games/Server issues (refer to Glitch Reporting threads, provide steps that someone could follow to try troubleshoot the issue, etc)

- what to do if you have an item glitch issue (refer to Juno/other art staff)

Most of what I see alot has been covered here by others, but one thing I don't seem to see is having an answer to what people should do if they lost their password and the e-mail to their account. I see this question ALOT. heart

Personally what i would love to see in the FQA:

An easy system, ask a question (keyword bar)
-Type in your question and bam! best suitable answer appears..of course it would take a little more answers for user's questions but it would be easier.

I would enjoy a longer explain on the Gaia Cash cards Like::
-What to do if you bought one and it cant be redeemed. I just had to make a car trip back to the place i bought it, recover my receipt and have along talk with why it didnt register on the computer.

-Also that only Gaia Cash items and donation leters can be bought with it. my boyfriend very new to this site bought 30 dollars worth and tried to buy me a real life t-shirt with it. hah atleast he tried right?

yeah >> they may have been requested or not the best but i'd like to see that.

There have been a lot of questions involving the Marketplace recently.
There have been some problems there, and I think people would like to be better informed about what's going on there.
     
No more Inari's Beads evolutions.
Need to think of a new theme! o.O
While there is a signature FAQ, I would like the wording to be changed.
"Profile page" to "account preferances."
Also, if there will be a guide to BBCode put up, have "BBCode" linked to that page.

More or less, this is what I mean:

Put information about bannings. I had read lots of people banned. (Maybe all people guilty claims to be innocent, but that information it will be useful to those who had suffer injust bannings)

Where do you find out where to post a question about your gaia house not loading when you try to arrange the items in it? Its not really a question people ask alot but I cant seem to figure out where to post it to get help so I posted it here.
 
     

 
Ideas for the FAQ:
How to report a hacking.
How to report a scamming.
A detailed & frequently updated list of Mods to contact & what they should be contacted for. The current thing where you have to pick a forum, then click on "View Moderators", pick one from the list, make sure they are the kind of mod you want to contact, then pray that they deal with it or respond is difficult, problematic & flat-out FRUSTRATING! I know that I have PMed several mods on several occasions, & of the 10 or so mods I've contacted at some point or another, I've only found 2 that are reliable, friendly, & fast about their work. At one point, I was getting seriously flamed in my comments & I had to contact 3 different mods over a matter of weeks before anything was done about it. Only the last one even read my message, let alone wrote back about it, & then it took several days before it was really dealt with.

Ideas for Gaia in General:
On Profiles, there needs to be a button on the very top of the screen that says "Report this Profile."
On comments, there needs to be a button that says "Report this Comment." No one wants to report anything in comments because it's such a difficult process (You have to go through the process above just to get anything done), & that's where a lot of spamming/scamming/chainmail happens.
     
One more suggestion: Please add a section about the alerts. We are seeing more and more questions about either changing the cellphone number listed on the account (in the case of a stolen phone, for example) or about removing one's number from the blacklist in order to resume alerts (possibly related to a change in one's service plan but most often because some friend of theirs stole the phone and texted stop just to be a jerk). I don't know how to answer these questions. sweatdrop
 
     
 
I think it's awesome that you guys are updating the FAQ. And I only have one suggestion at the moment:

Maybe you could explain how to send PM's to multiple users at once. There seems to be questions about that quite often.

Can you make a more extensive guide about what to do after a hacking, and what exactly to expect? I think quite a few questions we get on here are about hackers and what to do.

Perhaps you can link to some of the excellent Password strengthening guides that are in the Guides forum?

And please put in something about the Special tab and what you'll find under it, like Monthly Collectibles, etc.

Finally, can you please include a description of the Grombie skin and why it's not attainable now? With a detailed explanation of what Experiment 105 really does?
