I got a PM from NPC cupid telling me to look in the special tab of my invo for Cupid's Lost Love. I no have. Is this a joke? As in it's lost so I can't find it? Trollololololol... Fail Gaia, Fail.

The messages from NPC cupid are actually messages from anonymous Gaian's sending you valentines. If you pick the anonymous option NPC cupid sends your message. So it's likely some user or other who sent you that message, why I cannot say.

I never sent any valentines, just got the PM from Cupid telling me to look in my invo. I looked, and the item that the NPC mentioned is not in my invo.

You don't have to send any valentines. But obviously someone else did.

As I say, when you get a message from NPC Cupid during the event it means that someone else has sent you a Valentines message anonymously. All anonymous valentines sent during this event are sent via NPC Cupid. So that message came from another user, not the actual NPC. And you can't include items in valentines messages so unless someone has also gifted you something you're not going to find any new item in your inventory.
