I've gotten the "Sorry, but you may not apply to be a moderator at this time." message.

I am over 18, I checked my account information to make sure it had the right birthdate, so I'm wondering why I'm getting that message. Any hints?

This is good, Maybe this well get good moderators and People will stop trying to scamm/harras/abuse. Im going to apply When they figure out a way to get our parents signature Even though I really dont think we need a signature but It's fine.

hello, im 16 and i know mostly what there is 2 know about dicipline, im in a swim team and our coachs taught us the meaning of dicipline, but does it really matter what age u have to be a gaia moderator?

To be able to help others can benifit you yourself as a person.
I have some questions.
Does the person need to have a perfectly CLEAN slate?What if there were issues,but small ones?
And I had gotten perma banned once,but for reasons that were totally out of my hands and control..where do I go,if I wish to apply, to tell them about the issue?

Actually, I'm just curious as to why I get the "Sorry, but you may not apply to be a moderator at this time." message.

There isn't exactly an explanation offered. Perhaps it's because I've still got that info request in the system from six months ago? Perhaps there's something else?

I believe it says in the announcement that they're only taking 100 applications at one time. So, once that 100 is reached, the application is closed until they can go through them.

Then, when space is available, more applications can go through.

Remember that Gaia has a load of members (well over 60k).

For thos who did not notice the reason of why it is required to be 18 or older is because you are signing a legal binding contract.

This is a LEGAL CONTRACT

sort of a contract for you to work in a place. There are rules and regulations you must follow and and one of them requires the contract that means you have to sign.
Legal stuff means 18 or older and if you are under, a legal guardian/parents.

Dear Gaians,

I think everybody should get a chance! Some younger children have great ideas. Like me, I write stories and such, and so I have a extensive imagination. But everyone should have a chance! I spend the time I have on the computer and dedicate it to Gaia, so I would love to be a Moderator. Many would! 3nodding Some people are trustworthy, others aren't! So I propose you give us all a chance. heart I trust the admins are working hard, but if something gets out of hand, what will they do? If someone just puts in the best answers , and they become a moderator but in fact is a hacker, what will happen? eek So either way, its sorta safe, and sometimes it isn't.
