Is there any way around the "two warnings or less" rule, or am I SOL? 'Cause this account is three years old, and one warning per year is nothing, especially when ED is your stomping ground. I can't even remember the last time I was issued a warning.

Where does it say your only allowed two?
You wont automatically be declined for having reports against you, it depends on the circumstances.
I can't post specific here, but feel free to PM me if you want more info.

I've submitted my application and I have a few questions.

I understand that there is no time set for when applications are reviewed; but can anyone speak from experience to give me a ballpark estimate? A week, month, six months?

Does anyone know if Gaia is currently accepting applications at all? The Application did not say "closed," or "sorry;" but is that an accurate indicator that they are still currently looking?

Thanks!

They are continually accepting applications whenever there is room in the queue - Gaia will always be in need of new, qualified moderators.

For me, it took 4 months from the point of applying to be accepted.

It just rejected me flat out as soon as I pressed the button, "You have more than two warnings."

As coldheartedangel mentioned, if you wish to contact a moderator we can take a look to explain if it would be enough to stop an application going through.

@Kyoushi_Harahara-Expect the wait to be months rather than weeks as the review process is quite indepth.

Thanks for your reply. I guess it may give me time, (if I hadn't already done it for some reason) to make sure I have enough reports in.

I have another question, if you don't mind:

Can any given moderator check and see how many times a person has used the reporting system? Or can that only be checked by a moderator for a reason? (Like if they are abusing it, for example)

Also, given that I am not a moderator and don't know all of the mod-rules; can someone enlighten me to whether is is appropriate or not to ask someone to check for me? Would that represent a misuse of moderator abilities? I wouldn't want to tempt a friend into doing something that may get them into trouble. I figure that it is my own data that I'd be requesting... but I'm just not sure.

If you know about this, I'd appreciate if you could respond. Thanks!

You can PM a moderator and ask him / her to check how many reports you made 3nodding

Please bump here if I'm glowing =D

Yes, it's perfectly acceptable for you to ask a mod to look up how often you have issued reports. It's encouraged so applicants can know how far along they are/their progress toward reaching their reporting requirement.
