9 months. But I was the exception, not the rule, since I was part of the original flood of 1000 applicants, now days it's much quicker.

Quick question that I believe was already answered but I can't seem to find it and I'm not 100% sure if it is correct:

The 100 report requirement, is there a time frame these reports have to be made in? I remember reading, again can't remember who stated it, that the reports have to be made within a 6 months time frame, is this correct or do they look at overall report count?

You need at least 100 reports within the last six months before applying.

you must pm a mod to look at them for you. They can tell you how many times you reported and stuff

OK, I have a question. When you find a misplaced or spammy thread in a forum, do you have to announce on it that you'll be reporting the thread or can you just remain anonymous?

It's actually better not to post, just report the thread.
When people post "Wrong forum - reported" it does a couple things:
-There's a possibility the OP will get mad and start a flame war (worse case)
-The posts disrupt the thread, so it'll just die when it gets moved and the person will start over
So, yeah, best to just be anonymous n_n

(btw... since this isn't really about the application, you should use the main Q&A forum)

The time varies, but the general consensus seems to be at least 3 months
